Hanging around the paragliding forums, I discovered quite a few of them have been flying high, literally, on something or another. One of them spent an afternoon bobbing around sand dunes, tripping and on pills. Perhaps not the safest of flight methods, but that must have felt very strange indeed!
He said the only difficulty was the controls feeling like elastic.

@radzievicius That's the variometer -- Without the beep information the flight would be *much* shorter.

The VNE is 141 Knots best LD is 34 to 1
glide angle does not deteriorate badly until you get over 80 knots
