  • is the lead guitarist James "Zota" Baker? He played for awhile with WAR, and this looks like him, with an extra 30-40lbs since I last saw him

  • who is the frankenstein looking dude next to warren. "uni brow"

  • Levon, you ARE the man!!!!!!!!

  • The man can still play the drums. Love his syncopated rhythm.

  • Levon schools us on the impossibility of being a saviour. Isn't it great that a man can have a 50 year career making music. And to still have the passion he had in his 20s! Amazing.

  • the throat might not be there, but the soul, damn the soul is still alive!

  • the throat might not be there, but the soul, damn the soul is still alive!

  • Is that Billy Bob with this band?

  • dirt farmer cd is really awesome the new one i think went a differant way with the first one and all of his original is bad ass and if you never seen only halfway home on youtube then you ain't seen levon helm check it out please

  • @danzig8714 there isnt any electric instruments on dirt farmer, he wanted a new sound so they added electric instruments and thats why his newest is called "electric dirt"

  • listen to those drums!

  • His voice is back people!!! Hell yes!

  • Canada loves you Levon.you are the coolest!!!

  • this may be an example of what music can help to go on. i like the joy he plays with.

  • The three guitar players are pretty damn good to!!

  • One of the best drummers in rock'n'roll. Amazing that he can sing at the same time. Wonderful that he's still with us.

  • He's in his 60's and can still sing way better than me. Amazing song.

  • Can there be anyone cooler than this guy???

  • been trying to do those shuffles for twenty five years i sing and play drums because of you my friend and i will til i die....... just like you. you are dear to my heatr and soul keep on fixin the screen door buddy))))

  • Warren Haynes is such a fat sloppy turd. Larry Campbell puts him to shame.

  • @copyryan Why must there always be a competition? Warren is one of the greats: guitar, vocals, songwriting...Larry Campbell is a great guitarist, arranger, and producer - they're both awesome.

  • @copyryan Ya know, I can't be exactly sure what was on my mind when I wrote that comment two months ago. The fact is, I just don't care for Warren Haynes's playing at all and I think Campbell is a much more competent, skilled and polished player. I also think Warren Haynes's performance on this is particularly bad. It's an opinion and you are certainly entitled to yours.

  • Is that his daughter singing backup on the left?

  • God Bless Levon & Company....they are just too great!!

  • God Bless Levon Helm. His songs have helped me alot!

  • Love Levon! He was great at Mountain Jam VI

  • It was a great show. Thanks for posting, and we ha the best weather ever at Mt Jam. Do you know anyone who has the music on CD?

  • I been playin drums since 79, an can't duplicte him. To me he is a god. Just look at up on cripple creek....

  • this is a very moving piece

  • Sweden Loves You Levon.

    When can we see You!!!???

  • Levon Helm様ーーーーーー

  • Yeah!!! Way to go Levon!!! He still got a kick ass voice!!!him!!

  • ものすごい!!

  • Thanks, Bogie127, always loved the Band. Great to see Levon alive and kickin'.

  • I so agree, Ispin. We are lucky to have him. He has survived a bout with throat cancer, had to take vocal training to re-train his voice so that he could sing again. He survived another bout with tumors on his vocal cords just this year, luckily no cancer. His committment to his music is amazing, truly one of the most talented musicians ever!!

  • He can still make that kit sing. Listen to that snare!!!

  • I wanna party with Levon.!!

  • God bless Levon! We're so lucky to still have him around. We're even more lucky to see him behind the drums and hear him behind the mic once more. But to hear him sing one of his signature hits is beyond priceless!!! Would love to hear him sing Cripple Creek again.

  • Thanks Levon for everything you've done!

  • Levon rules.

  • gave me chills...thanks for the video

  • Steve Jordan interviewed Levon in Modern Drummer a couple years back. Great read. Dirt Farmer is such a great disc too!

    Rock on Levon!

  • We are blessed to live in the same time with Levon.

  • @sgpnc Yep. You nailed it there....

  • cool..he has a rubber hand. He must be a robot.

  • its a glove

  • Levon really started to show his age a bunch of years ago after the throat scare, but for the past couple of years he looks healthy and great! Cheers Levon, keep on truckin brother!

  • R U saying Milli Vanilli was dishonest. That's absurd!

  • keep playing LEVON! all the way from 2009 claremont

  • It sounds like it would have been a great musical experience to hear that concert. I hope he keeps performing that beatiful music.

  • amazing beyond belief

  • Sweet Sounds and Good Vibes...LLL!...Long Live Levon!

  • yeah this show was phenomenal its such a great honor to see Warren play with Levon. Warren is keeping the spirit of what levon has been doing for over 30 years, This was special to see.

  • 30 Freakin' years later!! Wow. Pret-tay, pret-tay, pret-tay, pret-taaaay good.

  • i noticed the switch in grip, too. is he wearing a glove on his left hand?

he wore one in Levon Helms teaches Classic Rock, Country and Blues Drumming, a dvd even for non-drummers if you love levon.

i've alwayls loved levon and there is nothing finer than seeing him play and sing again, with such joy.

an old man playing drums... you must be very young... i'm a year younger than levon and play the drums, and i'm a woman. now go and figure on that...... :)

    happy thanksgiving, all

  • Check it out, drummers: he's gone from using traditional grip to matched in his left hand. Wonder why?

  • It doesn't matter, what matters is what is in his heart.

  • Wow such energy...still. Thank you Levon for giving me chills all these years..and thank you for spending some of your time in my native Canada. Luv ya.

  • Please, levon helm, never die.

  • Beautiful and magical song....

  • long live levon helm, he's the real deal

  • yeah, his feel is still awesome. his soul is as deep as the damn ocean.

  • I just love this guy... also as an actor... most people don't know that Levon Helm portrayed Loretta Lynn's DAD in COAL MINER'S DAUGHTER.... He's a national treasure....

  • I remember watching him as a kid in The Right Stuff

  • i dont know whats more touching to me, his story of survival and strength, or that amazing smile he gives as he truly enjoys bringing us this beautiful music.

  • THis set made the whole weekend worth it..fuckin amazing

  • amen. i had a great time but some buyers remorse right up until levon started his set. magical.
