  • "Oi! Get out of my head!" - Everyone else, to Lady Deirdre Skye.

  • Sister Miriam and her beady little eyes... that woman is just so creepy...

Kudos to this game for producing the most unlikable character ever!

  • "Symbols are the key to telepathy. The mind wraps its secrets in symbols; when we discover the symbols that shape our enemy's thought, we can penetrate the vault of his mind."

I wonder what they mean by that...

  • @Kemonokami The mind simplifies Information by representing them as symbols, be they emotion, numbers, words or images. The ability to penetrate through the minds of others and decipher these symbols gives the mind-intruder a greater sense of empathy to the people he/she seeks to manipulate. Understanding the fears, needs and desires of the droning masses from it's most direct source ensures greater control of the governed.

I've always liked the dystopic future technologies presented in SMAC.

  • I love the quote for this. It's basically relating body language and other forms of symbolism to being able to get inside people's heads.

  • OMG the leader of the hive reminds me SOOOOO much of the overseer from fallout 3!

  • Aw man, I cannot play without this secret project. I rely on it every game! If I don't get it, I'm not happy.

  • I hate this project a lot. If anyone run this project I feel like to stop them immediately. Once this porject complete it'll force player to vote planetary council & those other factions will connect me freely.

  • Talk about HEAVY Alpha Centauri symbology in work here...

  • one of the best games ever made. To this very day I can't get over how much fun AC is.

  • He looks like a floating head IMO

  • Is it just me or does Chairman Sheng-Ji Yang appear to be a bit high on something ?

  • High on his own delusions of power, maybe.

  • Or prevent others for attaining supreme leader, and let you veto all those ever so hated "propositions" the other idiot factions feel "necessary"

  • The REAL benefit of the project lies in the free infiltrators. You can spy on opponents whilst they are still to far away to reach. Also the comm frequencies are more valuable than people give them credit for for early game tech swapping and commerce gathering. The bonus to elections is only really scary in the hands of Lal

  • I remember one game in which Lal actually managed to win a small war with the University and then took on the Spartans. With a few extra bases, Lal managed a near victory in the Council and it was only a maritime settlement campaign as the Morganites which averted defeat for a while.

  • Yes. If one truly wishes to demonstrate superiority, they should pick the Peacekeepers.

  • @ChuutRiit

what are you talking about Peacekeepers are totally OP

free talents (no drone riots, frequent golden ages boosting output) at the extremely negligible cost of -1 efficiency

  • @Alignn Well, humanitarianism and democracy gotta have something going in their favour, too. :D

  • Spoken like a true Spartan!

  • Lowest cost secret project video? Yes.

  • No. Look up the Citizens Defense Force video he has up. That one is the simplest one in the game.

  • Citizen's Defense Force is lower.

  • And yet still quite entertaining.

  • Well, this one is just using the profile pictures, while the other one I presume is some original art work...
