@L1V3FR330RD13 The max speed on the speedometer doesn't ever mean that it's the top speed of the car, it is always higher that the actual top speed. 155mph is the limited max speed for most German cars, even the AMG powered mercedes. Your tourag 2.5 can only reach 114mph, but you will never reach the top speed, unless you race down the autobahn in germany, or speed illegaly. So top speed really only matters in super cars, or track cars.

@demio22 Da er ein sparsamer und vernünftiger Mensch ist, wohl preiswert einkauft ... kann er sich eine S- Klasse leisten. Denn nicht jeder ... oder eher die wenigsten ... finden einfach das Geld auf der Straße. Guter Tipp: wirtschafte mal odentlich, dann fährst Du auch bald eine S Klasse sparsam: Diesel.

You right about that,i used to like black dashboard and grey interior but recently i realise this color makes inside the car looks brigher and giving a positive feeling when in it.

I had this idea of if you have light color for the interior would get dirty sooner,even its true,what the heck just clean it up :)

graet car but the one i drove in had many more options in the back. for example every seat position was changeable like the seats in the front... and individual and digital temperature for each seat

the S500 is US but with an other name the S550 because the car has a 5.5 litre engine.For europe the name is S500.

But is the European displacement 5.5L as well? Because I thought it was a 5.0L. Either way I wish MB had increased the displacement but kept the legendary name S-500, as well as the E-320. One of their first and most popular sedans was the 320E why change the name just because the displacement was increased.

The european displacement is the same 5.5L, only the name is differnt, in europe we have: 320CDI,350,420CDI,450,500,600,­63,65.i don't now why is this diference regarding the name maybe marketing reasons.

Must be for marketing reasons, gotta be. That must also be why the smaller V8 nor either of the diesels is not offered for the US. Tell me this, due the European models still have Zylinder (Cylinder) shut-off system as an option and standard on the S600. I know it was an option for the 2001 and 2002 years but after that I don't remember hear this system was available.

From what I know there is no Cylinder shut-of feature in the V12 S600.

You mean the same system which in the HEMI, so you can use 4 cylinders when you don't need much power?

The fuel economy of the S600 is poor, 22 litres/KM, but the engine is a masterpiece, so if you afford a S600 you probably don't care about fuel bills!

Both the S550 and the S500's displacements are the same, it's just the marketing that makes it different in terms of the name. The S550 is also used in Japan, not just in North America. By the way the S450 is also available in Canada, but only in 4MATIC and SWB.
