Roger Miller was indeed one of the most talented artists ever: Eleven Grammys and the Broadway Tony Award. Many artists got their inspiration and start by listening to him.

BTW, this video cannot be before 1962, because Gene Davis is playing a Fender Jaguar, which came out in '62.

you are right... talent beyond belief and classification... some of roger's uniqueness may have been what held him back a little... in a time when everyone else was wearing rhinestones and wearing long hair, roger was living in vegas and wearing tuxedo's... reminds me of the way bobby darin defied classification as well...
