@swanton200 it has trophy's yep. and you'll prolly do fine with ninja gaiden sigma 2 (ps3 version is called sigma and has some extra stuff), because sigma 2 is slightly easier then ninja gaiden 2. sigma 1 on the otherhand can be a bitch haha. it can be an extremely frustrating game, but once you really master the awesome move list it's great :)

You guys should know the game is based on a fantasy invicible type ninja, akin to "real ultimate power" and "ask a ninja". And it's been that way since the NES, like how Mario's been an Italian plumber since the NES, Ryu's been a flipping out and killing everything badass ninja since the NES. He even uses weapons/abilities and ends up with same girl from the NES Trilogy.

However they're adding some optional stealth in the next game, some of which are done while gliding/flying, that's badass

The 360 version has an unrealistic amount of blood(too much) and the PS3 version has an unrealistic amount as well (WAYYY too little) the games are very different in terms of enemy placement, I think the PS3 version is ALOT easier, upgrades on weapons are free and a couple of other things.

Then they had a remake of Ninja Gaiden Black called Ninja Gaiden Sigma on the PS3 and a.... lets call it reenvisioning of Ninja Gaiden II, called Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2. Besides these games, there were only the three original Ninja Gaiden games on the NES and Shadow Warriors on Arcade. A Ninja Gaiden III game was announced (PS3/360).

If you are up for a real challenge and a game that can be at first frustrating but later very rewarding if you stick with it and learn its ins and out, then, yes, you should get it, especially if you do not have acess to an X-Box/360. If you are, on the other hand, easily infuriated, then this game might not be for you. If I remember right, you should be able to pick up a demo of the first level on PSN.

@MugenHeadNinja As for the differences between NG Black and NG Sigma, mostly those changes come from changes or removal of puzzels, placement of the weapons and techniques in diefferent places, a few added enemies and bosses, two (or was it three) additional chapters with Rachel and a new weapon, the dual katana set Dragons Claw and Tigers Fang. For a full list of changes I recommend the FAQ by VampireHorde over on Gamefaqs, it is part of his walkthrough.
