That response paints you in a much better light then the first. The screen reflects ONE of the hundreds we track, not all. The hundreds comment simply clarified for thestonerboys, that the sites we measure are normal everyday sites, and exclude tech, web dev, etc as stated. This gives a measurement of what normal people use. BTW, I'm not sure you realize, this was a parody of the hilariously inaccurate mac & pc ads that were flying around at the time. I don't profess to be a master of stats.

Very astute. Most of our clients maintain their own sites via our CMS and sometimes do some things that are outside of our recommendations. (shocker) We have other clients as low as 12% home page bounce rate, and we are working with this client to improve theirs but since this is an event site and events are listed right on the home page I doubt we will ever get that low. It does fall below Avinash Kaushik's quoted 40-60% average. We are still trying to talk them into some A/B testing.

It would seem also you have chosen to look past the fact that this is a fair representation and it does not markedly increase. Further you look past my admission that in select demographic cases it goes higher. In short, it seems you are only concerned with stating things I already know and have stated. As mentioned before, this is ONE of hundreds of our clients. I did not cherry pick. This is a fair representation of Mac traffic across the clients we represent which are a mix of everyday sites. It does go a bit higher on very specific sites, but not much higher. If you have proof to the contrary please feel free to point to a reputable source and no I don't care about ONE unique example. Nay saying is not evidence.

That was a stupid argument. Having more people use a PC doesn't make it superior because of its 95% web traffic. That just only caters to people developing exploits for Windows due to the larger usage base. Besides, PCs are so cheap these days, anyone can get it. Around < 5% representing Apple's OS.

The other operating systems composed of Linux, iPhone's Safari, ???, iPod touch's Safari, ???, Nintendo Wii, and a Palm OS phone represented less than 1% each of web traffic.

The 4.22% were all Mac users; while less than 0.44% of people used Linux, and other operating systems for handheld devices (iPhone, Nintendo Wii, PalmOS etc)

We manage hundreds of normal everyday websites from which we can track actual, unbiased data to show how many people visit, platforms, browsers, yadda yadda. You see one on the video. Heck we have a client that is all Macs internally and they still don't break 10%.

I suppose the other 10-15% of Mac users may not be visiting web sites. Yeah, that's it. LOL

I use both PCs (Windows/Linux) and Macs (OSX/OS9) and I've used many other systems from commodore 64's to Amigas. I had good and bad things to say about each system. It's fanboys that I really hate the most.

For the record, I don't give a crap what platform you choose, but it is comments like this that cause me to have utter disdain for MAC elitists.

This is a failed excuse for purchasing a MAC. Something solved with easily obtainable free or cheap virus software solutions, AND by not engaging in stupid activities. Mac gets less because there is less of a reason to right them for that platform. Roughly 90% + less of a reason.

People who get them are largely to blame due to their activities.
