just a question to ask you... why do you have the fuel display instead of the water temperature? we don't have fuel display in italy... it would be more useful...

Its basically like a trade off from you guys in Europe. You guys have fuel injection in you 250's and we have carburetors. You can probably get one of these clusters in ebay.

i def. like the blue gauges a lot better than the orange that my old 250 had. although i think id still prefer the temp gauge over the fuel because the bike is carbeurated. even on my 650 i dont find the fuel light overly useful

Well there are different mod type deals that cover the old gauge cluster to where you don't have to replace the needles. I don't know if there are any out for the 08 250r though...sorry buddy

How is the acceleration on this bike? Can it beat most cars while rolling? I want to get this bike, but I want to be able to accelerate fast enough if someone gets too close.

I would say yes, the acceleration ist abaout 5-6 seconds to 0-100km/h (0-60mp/h) and the most cars with more than 200hp need 7seconds.

Hi I,am in the uk & having just passed my restricted test (restricted to 33bhp for 2 years then I can ride anything I want,I was thinking of buying this bike, only ever had a 125cc my main question is could it handle a long run with average speed on motorways 60/70mmph? as I really dont want to jump onto 2 big a bike till I have had more experince.

this bike and the older 250's can do easily do highway speeds for long periods of time, dont let the numbers "250" fool you =)

The Ninja 250 tops out at around 110. So 60/70mph is is nothing for it. From what I've seen it's basically the fastest 250 you can get.
