Fogerty rules. I play in a local band that plays gigs where we can, Sometimes you need a song  that everyone will get up and dance to. I realized years ago, " You can't go wrong with CCR ". Now Fogerty has a song about that. I think it's called "You can't go wrong with CCR". Thanks.

I am surprised nobody has yet mentioned the dreadful "face lift" in the 90's (when he didn't need one!) that even makes Micky Rourke look handsome!.

But nonetheless,CCR were the greatest singles band in the world 1970/73.

Their entire albums at one point were just collections of classic songs.Just like the Beatles really.

I can't believe the garbage below. Fogerty remade a visit to Manchester England after a 30 year gap. He sounded as raw and as fresh as he did the first time at the Free Trade Hall with the full band. Forget the rest - CCR was the voice of Fogerty and his writing and singing skills. The other dudes, as nice as they may be were just the back up band for John. You know in an instant when you hear that voice who it is. Oh yes, Status Quo should be shot for ripping off Rockin' All Over The World.

I love JF's music as much or more than anyone else. However, if we can only have the original person's versions of songs then I Put A Spell on You would never have been recorded by CCR. SQ did a fine job, not as good as JF but suitable. I do agree that CCR wouldn't have gotten a contract without JF, he was the group, his songs, his voice, his guitar.

Not true. FORGERTY DID NOT WRITE "ALL" THE MUSIC in CCR. In 1997Johh Fogerty got an injunction & forced 'CCRev' to change to 'Cosmo's Factory', but the courts later ruled in Cook's and Clifford's favor BECAUSE STU & COOK WERE CO-WRITERS OF CCR'S music. JOHN FOGERTY IS A TOTAL AHOLE, always has been, even to his brother. Do a history search on how John has been a pain in the ass to everybody he's involved with. An ego maniac. You should do your homework, Stu and Doug never co-wrote any CCR material and Tom only co-wrote one. All the songs, except covers were written by John Fogerty, except Walking on the Water co-written with Tom. They only wrote songs for Mardi Gras and they were all terrible and none are being performed today. As for the lawsuit, the judge ruled Fogerty has no right to stop them from making a living; it has d nothing to do with who wrote the songs for he wrote all of them, except covers.

I know that. I'm just saying it's the players in the band that make ALL the difference. It's like the band Boston. Most songs were written by Tom Scholz. Once the ORIGINAL memebrs he fired were gone, the band never sounded the same. Foggerty will always have his voice but not the ORIGINAL CCR band sound without Stu & Doug. Just as they cannot find a PERFECT Foggerty impersonator. I like the music over the singing. Thus, Revisited IMO, still has the CCR sound & John's band(s) haven't. IMO.

I think the judge said Stu & Doug were co-creators in creating the Creedence sound, so he allowed them to use their name. As for Fogerty, I think he needs to bury the hachet with them and get over the past. He was pissed because Doug suggested to Saul Zaentz that Old Man Down the Road was similar to Run Through the Jungle resulting in him being sued for self copyright. Fogerty blamed Doug for planting the seed in Zaentz mind.

Still, there will never be any reunion with these guys regardless because Fogerty can make a ton of money on his own and pay his band members a LOT less than splitting anything with Stu & Doug. Fogerty was way drunk on his "Centerfield" tour & I wasn't impressed with that band or any band Fogerty has had since CCR.

Uh, Fogerty wrote pretty much all the hits, except for the covers. I saw him back on his first solo tour, supporting "Centerfield," and he kicked ass, even not playing any CCR tunes. I think it's overblown about the CCR revisited thing--if a bunch of commie hippie has beens want to ride on his coattails for a while, he should simply let them, and laugh at their insipidness. The other members of CCR were, and are, great musicians, but they have no original music to produce, else they would.

I seen the "centerfield" tour at the Universal Ampithetre & he sucked bigtime because he was a drunken bum loudmouth. Maybe you got to see him sober. Either way, I've seen all of Fogerty's bands and I've seen Revisted twice. I go by "the sound" to determine if I like the show(s) or not. And IMO, CCRevisited sounded like the original Creedence, & Fogerty's band(s) haven't come close. I appreciate Fogerty's music, but Revisted proves that you need key members (Drummer Clifford) to keep the sound.
