yes there were drug tests. Read Flairs book, he talks about how his friend Tully Blanchard wasn't allowed back in WCW because he failed a drug test, and Flair said Von Erich failed a number of them as well.

Your right, drug tests in 1990 did exist, but not for steroids, more so for Cocaine.

The drug tests were for drugs. Pot, cocaine, etc. Iron Sheik was let go cause of pot in the late 80's early 90's, there may have been other stuff, but in the Best of the 80's dvd he says that since he failed a test Vince said he had to let him go. When he came back he was with Slaughter and under a different name
