This is FAB :D I'm setting up a singing group and one to one singing lessons in a couple of months using mainly backing tracks, cant play instrument so gonna be doing 2 hours practice a day. :D These are great, always wanted to play, but could never afford it as kids. These are very simple and clear. Lots of people on here can play but cannot teach- you are a natural :D x
There is no sheet music for that piece and I have not written it down on paper.
That's just basic "Texas Boogie Woogie" blues. If you do a search for it on YouTube you'll probably see other piano players teaching lessons on how to play this style.
Your amazing. I really want to learn but I have a smaller keyboared. Can you teach how to play actual songs? Step-by-step, Most of the turotrials of songs are just people playing slow and its hard to keep up. Your a really good teacher. Thanks =]
Thanks... actually I'm working on my dvd project that will teach you some great new playing techniques (not exactly like this). It should be out in about a month from now... so stay tuned!
I was lookig for long time a person like you my friend, your lessons are really help here, every day i put my self on practice mode by watching your vic...ty very much=)
it doesn't have a specific name.... that is just a "texas boogie" blues song. If you do a search for "texas blues piano" you'll likely see the same style of piano playing in ur results.
hi, just started watching your vids they're great by the way. i have an important question to ask though- i have long nails. so, when i press the keys, my nails bend, and my fingertips arent touching the piano at all. can still push the keys though- but i have to press down harder. do you suggest i cut them? nooooooooooooooo! i love my nails lol. i suppose i should. plz let me know!
Ah yes... theres nothing sexier than the sound of clickety click on the piano keys.
;)
I remember one very talented girl during my high school years that had the loveliest long red fingernails but she was still a very good pianist.
It really depends... I definitely recommend short fingernails for playing piano. But adjustments can be made. There are plenty of people with less than five fingers and/or naturally smaller hands who can play piano really well! So there are always exceptions.
i know how u feel. My nails are very long and grow realllly fast. After looking at the first vid from Brandon i was so eager to learn and so i just ran quickly for the finger nail clip and got to it. lol by next week they wil have grown immensely.
Nope... coz when you start to play piano by reading the names of the notes, you still must use the correct fingers to play each note (and guess what?) each note "C,D,E,F,G" are each assigned a finger "1,2,3,4,5". So you must learn BOTH in order to effectively play songs from sheet music (I'm just showing you a simplier way to start out). Thanks 4 ur question!
man its so hard but he makes it look so easy! :)

how to read piano sheets?

That's not what this lesson is about. Here I'm showing you a simple way to start playing piano notes by using only the numbers of your fingers.
