just read a pete doherty book .always found him interestin if not very talented. yer hes good with words but apart from a handfull of good libertines ive never understood what all the fuss was about and the same goes for the artic monkeys so i just dont think i like this sort of music.. one thing i didnt understand if pete wrote most of the libertines classics why didnt he jus carry on with babyshambles doin his songs instead of a load of songs i could hear played by bands in my town any fr./sat

i think you'll find pete played those kinda songs first, and even if he didn't, the libs are hardly the most original band ever. Babyshambles may be a little more mainstream, but i think they do it really well. In the early days they had this real shambolic feelign to their music, punk with poetry, and they got a little duller as they got more tight sounding. just my opinion. if you wanna hear pete writing really original songs, i recommend his solo album, sounds nothing like libs or bs. peace x
