Koi are pretty expensive, I went into a pet store to buy 2 shubunkin, the koi were 27.99$ apiece! I kind of understand though, since they look so beautiful and I hear they can live for up to 100 years.

aren't u worried about predator eating your koi?

I mean the pond all right but it look like a equal size level where your fish can't get away from fishing hawk or other animal, my dads ponds has black tarp and 3 level with 13 koi fish around, and one blue black, what I mean to say is there no diving level for your fish to get away. you don't have to listen to my comment it just my opinion.

SO far, there is no predator seen around the pond. Once, both my dogs , a hsuky and a rottweiler fell into the pond, but there are too slow in water to be of any threat to the koi.

We have a Gold Fish pond it's really small

like 300-400 and we dug the ground and everything. Put the liner on and everything.

But the sides are all green and dirty looking i guess it's cause the plants and algey we have like 3 goldfish 3 Shubunkin sm, 1 lg Shubunkin, and 1 comet fish. They are getting really big XD

Sorry, I didn't see your comment sooner. I hope your koi is better now. Get a test kit for ammonia, nitrite and nitrate. Ammonia poisoning if you don't have a good biofilter. Nitrite is also bad for the koi. Nitrate isn't really poisonous but it burns their gills and they will flash and jump. If you use city to do water change, make sure it's only 10%. More than likely it's either ammonia or the chlorine. Solar salt not table salt will calm them down.

Beatiful FIsh i have a joi pond in my backtyard and there were 13 of them one got pregenant and i switched the eggs to a little tank and thy hatched. i refilled my tank with new taop water i poured some chemical killers and i left the water on overnight next morning my fish were all dead all 13. i spent a $800.00 on them 3 from japan :(
