  • I never sold my MP-1's or the power amps. They have killer high gain & clean tones. They could re issue those today & sell a lot of them.

  • The ADA MP-1 is the greatest pre amp ever. I've had one (that's unmodded) for years. Almost every show I play I'm asked what amp I'm playing because of its great sound.

  • @DwDrake2000 You're absolutely right, dude! Many of the late 80's metal albums had the ADA on it. I was once stuck in an airport with George Lynch about 10 years ago and I asked what he used on what I think was his best tone (on Back For The Attack album), he said he used an ADA a couple different amps, but the amps were only for clean tones...all the distortion you hear on that album is pure ADA, baby! \m/

  • 1.10 It's been a hard day's night!...oh wait...

  • Oh I get it....PRESENTS ! Merry Christmas everybody !

  • presents!

  • 1:10 It's been a hard days nights.. the musicmanic54 beat me by 11 months , just noticed lol

  • where can i get one of these amps? that thing seems pretty fucking sick.

  • @tehhkrmn65 Maybe in Ebay! and this are Rack's no amps... (AMPEG Amp Head/ ADA Pitchtraq/ ADA MP1 x2/ Alesis Midiverb II/ Rocktron Hush BBE/ Sonic Maximizer/).

  • Presents! not Presence or presets.

  • What is the name of the Head and amp he uses? and what is the name of the business that seems a box that has several racks inside? and lastly, I want to know the name of Red Foot, which is above the AMP?

    I thank those who respond.

  • 1:09 = The beatles - A hard days night hahahah

  • is he using a chorus in his "normal" distortion sound??

  • @FabianDammers i dont think so in this video but on some over racer x videos like the omni gig he is using it

  • A lot of cats are having those ADAs modded with extra gain stages. My friend and guitarist from my last band has an ADA. He used to play it through a Jackson Lee power amp until he went with a SansAmp PSA-1 through a Mesa Simul-class. I remember he busted out the ADA once at rehearsal. :D

  • johnny didnt beat the devil, paul gilbert did

  • that ada mp1 sounds fooking great.can you plug one straight into a amp ??? or does you need a seperate power amp, cheers

  • @ibanez777vbk

You can plug it into the effects return jack (or power amp IN jack) on the back of your amp. If will not sound good into the front of the amp because you'd be playing through two preamps at the same time.

  • @OrangeCountyCarl ok mate thanks a lot.

  • lol the presents :P pg is funny XD

  • oh.. i see... he isn't actualy good... he just has magic buttons and some presents :D

  • i love a lot of presents

  • does anyone know what poweramp he used?? i have ta same ada and i loved the tone he has here...

  • @an9immosomegas yeah he used the ada bipolar poweramp.

  • Presents hahaha

  • OMG! what were those chords from 1:06-1:12? they were so nice!

  • seven chords

  • 0:17

    -"Who wraped these Paul?"

    -"I wraped them this morning!"

    -"Jesus!"

    Love that so much :D

  • pretty darn hip

  • AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH "The presets.. you know... the presents" XD

  • presence not presets

  • @imbaguitar presents not presets

  • Presence ;-) you know? from the Eq?

  • that harmonizer thing he used was fucking awesome

  • that was absolutes the best ive ever heard played on clean does anyone know how to get that sound?

  • ok the way i worded that wasnt very clear what i meant was that was the best clean tone i have ever heard does anybody know what he was doing?

  • lil reverb, possibly some chorus, and just lotsa practice

  • ive learned since posting that the magic of digital reverb

  • does anyone here have any idea about footswitch, or maybe midi controller that paul use???

  • The midi footswitch is an ADA-MC1.

  • Simply Awesome

  • In this video He is Playing a standard Ibanez RG570 which i'm pretty sure has Dimarzios as well because this was one of his back up guitars for Racer X. i dont know why you guys think paul would play Dimarzios all his life except for this video..... think about it

  • no he is using Dimarzio Super Distortion in both neck and bridge, he has them wired in parallel.

  • It says at the end of the video: thanks to Ibanez etc... and Seymour Duncan. No mention of Dimarzio. Not sayin you're wrong just sayin that i think andersonguitar is right

  • well if you know anuthing about paul he has been playing Dimarzio since the start of his career, go to the Dimarzio website and it has a picture of this exact Ibanez custom Epiphone Wilshire copy made only for paul pink and the caption says 2 Super Distortions wired in parallel.

  • lol chill man, i was just going by my logic which was obviously wrong as usual lol

  • i am totally chill... i just wanted you to know the right info man

  • Jim1490 is actually correct. at this time he had a seymour duncan minibucker in the neck position. he was not yet endorsed by dimarzio. he also had this pickup in his wilshire, so idk where u get ur info..

  • calm down dude im just givin the correct info. im a member at the racer x board. people there know pretty much anything there is to know about paul gilbert and racer x. not trying to argue, this just happens to be a fact that im am 100% sure of.

  • Seymour Duncans

Buy the DVD, you might actually figure it out for yourself

  • "Intense Rock I

Pink Ibanez RG - Super Distortion and Seymour Duncan mini HB <--

from here, he went into an ADA Pitchraq then into 2 ADA MP1's, maybe modded with different tubes but not more modded than that, pretty standard. From these, he went into an Alesis Midiverb II, then a Rocktron Hush and finally a BBE Sonic Mazimizer, an old version as you could probably guess. If your interested in any of these then Ebay is the place to find them, they're not very hard to find."

    ya bitch.

  • THANKYOU!!! lol....read the credits people ffs....

  • he is soooo cool

  • he usually use super distortion

  • can anyone tell me what kind of dimarzio bridge pickup he uses in his guitar on this video?

  • By that time he wasn't endorsed by Dimarzio. He is using a Seymour Duncan Mini-Humbucker on the neck, for example.
