  • WEAR A HELMET!!!

  • hahahah ur a fuking dead set fagget

  • where did you find the chrome muffler? email me at blazrdude@aol.com. thanks

  • @blazrdude it came with the kit.

  • A friend told me about your video

  • is thia a dongo mottor??

  • how far did u mill the head?

  • @americanboy64 a few thou after removing the lip; however, you'll need to replace those stock pins with T6 pins. I had to buy them in meter rods and cut to size...

  • @nobody21us I broke my clutch cable to, I been around motor cycle's all my life and worked on all of them at some time ! but I really enjoy motorized bikes. I fix my problem with the clutch by making a bracket bolted to frame so its level it kinks the way they have it on engine. if you like I send you a photo ! just replace the bolt in the engine so no dirt gets in there. ps have broke any more cables yet!!

  • i see taht corvete in the garage wow!!

  • @nobody21us Your welcome

Looking forward to seeing that :)

  • wow , talk about awesome old school tech, i got a 80 something bike mad in canada, and a yamaha 80 engine and i think its bulletproof, i dont jump curbs but the forks didnt break off of it , japanese stuff rules, its not cheap , maybe u meant chinese engine, id image chinese engines arent of the highest quality, ps i have an oldschool big exhaust on mine and its nice and quiet, i found its hard to hide the fact your riding a motobike, but its nice to be quiet, none of those kits have big exhaus

  • how big is the engine on it?

  • these kits are tinker toys but lots of people make them work.. I have 1, but it's in need of repair with 80 miles on it.. cylinder head is loosing compression from the spark plug threads.. I have a high compression slant head on order, along with a manic mechanic/ Creative Engineering billet intake..

  • i used to have one. I gave it to my friend. It's really hard to assemble it. I took me total 48hours to install it. I don't want to recommend it though. 60~70mpg,and rear spoke got broken 2 times. Heavy clutch, troubleshooting kill switch,..It's a great fun but something wrong with those Chinese products.

  • hey, just got mine finnally together after 2 years of lazy, whats the issue with the killswitch?

  • could anybody tell me what kind of bike you can use with an 80cc kit

  • yes. duh... this is a classic case of ... oh well, the world doesn't need me to do anything but be nice ... so ... be well!

  • look im sorry that i called you idiot ok its not a japanese engine i mean i wish it was but its not its just a cheap chinese engine that has a lot of issues to deal with believe me............. its a pain.

  • my clutch cable broke 2, it dint even last 2 days and it broke :-\ i just took a cable off of a old bike i had :D

  • I'm buying one soon.

  • No, it's not a Japanese engine, it's a cheapo Chinese engine. There's a helluva difference. All the 2 stroke chinese engines are crap. The 4 strokes are ok but their gearboxes can fail on your first ride.

  • i have a block with over 1500 miles on it with no problems i run it rich and have a hot plug and i have NO problems the fours i dont trust. too much to go wrong

  • srry for keep asking you but, why wouldnt the 56T sprocket be the fastest then if your looking for like speed??? cus it would had speed but not alot of topend or whtever?

  • nope look at the gears on a mountain bike same principle the larger the rear sprocket (more teeth) the slower it will go but the more torque it will have (pulling power) so the SMALLEST gear for the rear willl get you the highest top speed

  • to achieve the fastest speed on a motorized bike woth a sprocket due you want the 56T or the 33T sprocket?? and how often do you have to clean out eh carb and jet? have you had alot of problems with your motorized bike?

  • 33t is super small, i recommend something slightly larger for best speed and power such as a 40 or 44 t

  • so would i use the 56T sprocket??? or would the 40-44T sprocket get me the fastest??

  • definitely the 40-44t

  • thats wht u have on ur bike?? to go fast?

  • yes, it goes very fast with a 40 t

  • the kits come stock with a 44t

  • I want one but I can't have it breaking down all hte time!

  • They require loads of work. I would say they are a hobby that you can ride ;)

  • Hey, great video! How much did you mill the head? I am an aircraft mechanic and have access to milling machines. I will be buying a kit shortly. How does the 40 tooth sprocket do on hills?

    Thanks!

  • what kind of spark plug do you have can you please tell me i dont know wich kind to buy

  • how many days of work do u have in a month?i wanna find out ur mileage

  • how to you get it to idle with out it shuttin off becasue mine will not stay running if i stop if put it in nuetril

  • seems you might need to adjust your idle screw a bit.

  • nice bike. i have one with a dual start

  • I'm using caliper brake on this bike and only the the front one at that (not recommended); however, I keep a sharp eye!

I've completed another bike that uses front and rear breaks which stop the bike better.

This red bike stops from full speed in about 10-15', and I have laid it down to stop quickly! The green one stops in about 5-10'.

I've got to add the obvious that neither of these systems stop very well when wet! My next build will have disc breaks :)

  • The cheap bikes that come on wal-mart bikes usually must be replaced!

  • Thanks for the insight.

How bumpy does it make the ride? I would imagine with maximum tire inflation that it is probably pretty rough.

I have a Next Mountain Ridge with dual suspension and disc brakes on the front. I was thinking of maybe putting a motor on it. The thing is with the rear shocks, it has a huge spring back there that eats up a lot of space inside the frame. So I wasn't sure if an engine would fit it. But I use that bike mostly for alternative transportation with a rack.

  • The movement of the back axial will make drive chain fall off because the tension will disappear! I suppose you could try a rear mounted version, but i've never seen one. gl

  • I'm thinking about doing this for one of my bicycles. How quickly can you stop with the higher speeds? Is it ever an issue? What if you needed to stop quickly? Are regular bicycle brakes enough?

  • I'm pretty good mechanically, and it still took the better part of a day. Of course I also mod'ed mine a tad, but that happened later. The hardest part was attaching the rear gear in the spokes. After a few months, I removed the rear gear and found 7 broken spokes; so something to watch out for ;)

  • how long did it take you to put the motor on and everything like finish making it

  • Homemade? How much did the engine cost?

  • As Weird Al would say, "I found it on ebay." :D

  • heeey.....go back and explain the part at :50 please!

  • Milling the head down, right? When you take the head off, you'll see a lip on it. Use a 2x6, super fine sand paper, and some patients to mill the head down. Glue the paper to the 2x6 (the ultra flat 2x6) and rub the head's lip off that way. Slow and steady will achieve the best results. I made a gasket out of gasket material. I used spray on gasket sealer and closed it all up to the recommended torque. Note: Make certain the head is CLEAN, and to cover the block while the head is off.

  • Dude awsome I can't wait to get mine do you have any mod ideas beside the head

  • Thanks! About more mods, the best thing to remember is that your engine is an air pump. Anything you do to make the pump work more effortlessly increases horse power.

Otherwise, a smaller sproket on the tire helps. I went from 44T to 42T and gained about 2 miles and hour top end; however, I also had to pedal 2 miles and hour faster to start it. Good luck!

  • how long has your motor lasted

  • Its still going strong; however, maintenance is very important! If I was to speculate, I would say this setup will last at least a couple of years of hard (everyday) riding ...

I'm working on another one that will have the rear gear bolted to the hub for better durability. Bolting through the spokes will break spokes, and I couldn't find any 12 gauge spokes without paying through the nose for them...

  • Where did you order your kit from? Has it been reliable? Is it still going? How many miles have you gone so far. I'm trying to decide between gas or electric for my bicycle. Thanks.

  • I bought the kit off ebay, and it has been good for about 6 months now (around 6k miles too). Gas can be a bit faster, bet electric may be more reliable...

  • and its legal to commute with?

  • I have been pulled over, but it was only to ask where and how I got it. What fun :D There are rules to what your bike must have, though. For my part (arkansas) I must have lights, working breaks, and a horn...

  • just bicycle lights,or special lights?

  • Well made bicycle lights stand up better to the vibration the engine generates for the front; however, I use just cheapo lights and attach them normally.

  • Cheap Japanese engine? You mean cheap Chinese engine. Japanese engines are the best.

  • I like using the kits. IMHO, the mufflers are much better sounding, overall they look cooler and the main reason is the kits offer easier maintenance. I use mine as a commuter bike for work, so those are all important reasons to me. Glad you like it! I'll be posting more as my next couple of projects near completion.

  • thats really cool. What I dont understand, is why did you choose to buy a kit? Could you not just get a weedwacker engine or a chainsaw engine? Anyways, just curios. Cool vid though I'm going to be making one.

  • it's too much work to just to use a weedwacker engine because you would have to search around for all the parts you would need. And it's less expensive just to buy to whole kit and get everything you need to put it on the bike.
