  • Porcello blows. 4.92 ERA last year. Can't command his pitches. Leaves the ball out on the fat part of the bat all the time. Bust.

  • Porcello din't disappoint. Look where the Tigers are now with him as the starting pitcher. He even took down the ugly Youklis in that Boston game and became the first non-Yankee player that the Bronx fans loved.

  • i went to school with this guy, believe me, he is sneaky fast. Fast ball averages 95-100 with a slider in the mid 80's. Down right nasty stuff. The tigers got a steal.

  • Yea your mom comes and sucks everybodys dick after the game

  • No, I got a steal in my fantasy league. It would be nice for him to learn a change up.

  • he was my neighbor. he's got the nastiest movement on his two-seam.

  • i believe it

  • he looks very similar to mark prior on the mound only with alot cleaner mechanics. he is the second coming of mark prior. his scouting report looks similar to mark prior except mark had better control after years at usc. he was a definite steal for the tigers. a future ace for any team for years to come.

  • what league is this?

  • doesnt look like hes throwing some heat

  • try 99 mph as a senior in high school, kids legit

  • I think he looks more like Tim Lincecum but with less of a kick

  • BEAST

  • this guy was my brother's best friend...i sat in his seat in middle school and he's well worthy of playing for the tigers

  • looks like a mark prior on the mound but with better mechanics lol

  • Holydiver, if you really think about it...it's not risky at all. At least relatively speaking. It's not as risky as giving a 4 year/$28 million contract to some average 35 year old major league pitcher who logs innings but little else. And contracts like that are given out ALL THE TIME nowadays in MLB.

The Tigers are genius IMO for handing out over-slotted contracts to HIGH end talent in the draft. The potential reward is so far more worth the risk.

  • I really don't like seeing these young guys getting huge contracts. Too risky for my taste.
