@ryapickinup I asked on leo.org too. It seems to be very regional. Some people actually do say Kopfsalat (though most, it seems, don't). But the ones who do, are surprised that anyone else doesn't. Where to start... ;)
There are three names for the carrot. xD You can say "Möhre" like in this video. You also can say "Karotte" or "Mohrrübe". ;p You can use all three names, everyone will understand what you mean. ^_~v
It would be a great video, the only problem is that the music drowns out the voice and the words many times.

"Gurke" reicht eigentlich, außerdem heißts bei uns Karotte und Erdapfel :P Naja, und lettuce wird auch für Eisbergsalat benutzt.

Lentils are no beans.

isn't a tomato a fruit?
toothfareie 2 months ago
@toothfareie Yeah technically it is. Vegtables are roots and leafs, but fruit is the fleshy part that contains the seeds.

Well, the beans are lentils. Hence, "die Linse" and where're the plural forms?

ibrokeitdidnti 10 months ago
@ibrokeitdidnti I was gonna say the same thing.. as well as... instead of saladgurke.. I think it's usually just gurke.. gurke is Cucumber...

The music is very distracting. I can't focus on the words at all. It plays the same music over and over.

No one here where I live uses "Möhre" for carrot. Rather, "Karotte" is used.

Right, they're lentils.
It's actually "Die Linse"(singular) "Die Linsen"(plural)

you really should organise the der die and das together. IT would make it easier to remember the ariticles

Danke! But it is NOT a good idea to have background music in a language teaching video, especially loud background music.
qqqquito 2 years ago 16
I think it's not that loud, well not loud enough to distract me at that. :)
asag2007 2 years ago
perhapse if you cut the music in the background, it will be easier to hear the prononciations.
