@MrPortfolio101 maybe that's why u r already out of Eritrea...i'm sure u will never talk like this if u were in Asmara...and u r the bad example of Eritrean man us a betrayer...!did u ever went to Sawa?!
@bastard85inside Eritrea is a GORGEOUS country, and beautiful women but I have never been there though. Be aware the Nasty Italians, they are in bad intentions ALWAYS. Good Lucky.
that italian guy puts A LOT of us to shame...wow..lol...funny interview though...good thing he didnt get upset when the interviewer kept calling him a dog..good guy it seems
Hey Guys ..dont be fooled....Andrea was in Eritrea when he was a kid...1995-1996-1997-1998...He lived in campopolo..he speaks Tigrigna....he said he could speak tigrigna in a year...which is a lie....his childhood was here.
So ....andrea wedi Asmara dont lie....we were friends ... Journalist....he is not proffesional.....his questions are rude.....
He said he learned to speak Tigrinya within one year, which sounds right...and btw, It's not that he can speak Eritrean Tigrinya that's amazing, it's how flawless his Eritrean Tigrinya is that's stunning. Besides, he clearly stated his grandfather has always been living in Eritrea. So if you seen him as a child in 1995, then you probably seen him visiting his grandfather.
Hey Guys ..dont be fooled....Andrea was in Eritrea when he was a kid...1995-1996-1997-1998...He lived in campopolo..he speaks Tigrigna....he said he could speak tigrigna in a year...which is a lie....his childhood was here.

this reporter tries to be funny especially by making fun of his last name and he also is rude because he always interrupts the poor guy! but respect, he is killing it with his tigrinya!
I think you are forgetting this is a candid camera episode (hence the annoying laughter throughout the segment). The Italian guy didn't know it was a candid camera episode till the very end. Actually, the proper term for him is Italian-Eritrean, since he's officially an Eritrean citizen and speaks one of Eritrea's nine languages better than most.
but seriously when he lived 10 years in this country it's a must to Learn the language. so i don't understand that reaction of some people how think it is something special to speak after 10 year so fluently
in deutschland regen die sich ja auch auf, wenn ausländer die sprache nicht nach mehreren jahren beherrschen.
@kakaman97 you are absolutely correct. I should also point out that some Italians who reside in Eritrea, for more than 15 years, have never learnt the language. I know, because I've meet a few. Ignoramus...
Sorry I got bored and commented so much cause it was taking so long to load. But I finally saw it - HE'S GOOD!!! Amaaaaaaaaazziiiing, I wish I could meet him. :D Lucky guy and crazy story :D 'yeah my grandfather left me property' haha wowza! He has an amazing accent too, and in one year. Damn, if he learned that fast then maybe I have a chance, I don't want an accent like this.I wish they asked him how he did it though, just immersion or what? He seems nice too so maybe friendliness/socializing.
All these people (like me) saying he speaks better tigrinya than us, and we're watching this - we should have an online movement where we teach each other tigrinya xD and help each other out and stuff, like on Paltalk or something (so many eritreans there) or those online webcam things - or just chat rooms so its grammar for the beginning and just ext. It'd be hilarious if you bumped into someone you knew though or if you were related and you didn't even know HAHAHAH XD
@TheZelalem1 I put that in this translator and it said "but as if all life and that is the!! pero 'adria and strong dogs and the journalist and ignorant!"
It's not a big deal if someone stranger learns how to speak the language which he currently lives in but as a comment, I'm from Asmara n most deki Asmara also knew that there're lots of mix Italians in our city with double passports so honestly speaking, i don't think this young man spends only 10 years in Asmara but rather he is born in Asmara. As the lazy ass reporter mentioned in the end of his silly interview, it's just all about making a comedy in order to entertain viewers that's all !
@g9nnar I wouldn't be surprised if you did. Eritreans n their crazy networking skills. xD hahaha, see some random person on TV 'HEY I KNOW THEM. N MY FRIEND TOLD ME ABOUT THAT GUY I SAW WALKING IN THE BACKGROUND NEXT TO TSEHAY! Man either Tsehay or someone in Tsehay's family is always somewhere in the background, I'm not even surprised anymore'
hehe I love it when this happens though. Its like 'hey I know that guy's grandmother. I've seen his room before too, there was clothes everywhere, n he needs to organize his CDs...'
This is really interesting. He must have been living in Eritrea his whole life, if not, then this dude is inspiring. I'm still tryna learn to speak the language. Kudos to him..and props Squeky for the upload.

CHEERS TO THE ITALIAN SPEAKING TIGRIGNA.
BTW: The English lived in India for more than 300 years but none of them learned Indian languages.
Instead, they thought the Indians how to speak their language, English.
Therefore, NOT all the people who MOVE TO NEW PLACES GET LEARN & FLAWLESSLY SPEAK THE LANGUAGE of the places they moved in 10 YEARS.
Therefore, you got to give the man a credit for learn local languages on his own initiative, in less than 300yrs, as the English in India.
