ikakku is only using 20% of his strength here..so that's pretty awesome..and there is this episode where Iba compared the strength of ikakku's bankai to komamura, and Iba said that ikakku's bankai is world's apart stronger than komamura's.he is actually the strongest character in this anime..it's because, the more reatsu you have, the less damage you take. he can beat anyone down w/ his banaki but unfortunately, he wont..cause his goal is to beat his captain, Zaraki in a fair match w/ no bankai.

The Japanese voice actor for Ikkaku is the same guy who does the voice effects for Link in "Ocarina of Time" (and the Smash Bros. games), "Mr 3" from "One Piece", "Viral" from Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann" and "Hiei" from "Yu Yu Hakusho".

However, it is interesting to see that Gotei 13 doesn't document Ikkaku and Renji as one of the only shinagami in Soul Society to have powers and reiastu that rival actual Captains without actually holding the title of Captain.
