  • I stand corrected. I didn't know traditional clog dancing WAS done in clogs. I had read that the word in Gaelic means beating time, or tap dancing. I've also read that in American frontier days dancers attached pennies to their shoes so they could tap. They also incorporated African tap dance styles. Interesting how mixed cultures evolve. Thanks for the info. It's great to keep learning..

  • It has a lot to do with English and Welsh clog dancing, as dances in these traditions are done in clogs.
