Just started trying this cross-eyes method and I'm slowly progressing :D

It seemed impossible at firts as it's really hard to keep your eyes crossed at a certain angle but I can now at least see a clear third picture for about 3 seconds, but before the 3D actually comes in I lose focus. Taking a short break and trying again in a bit!

In NL I recorded it twice, once for the left eye, once for the right, and then just merged both videos in adobe premiere.

the angle is too wide, my eyes can't focus on the chain, actually it's good at some parts, there's a moment when I tense up for the drop, but the angle should be reduced so it's easier to focus.

this is fun and awesome! the best part is that you dont need to have your eyes crossed all the time, when u kinda cross them halfway you'll notice that the 2 screens turn into 3 blurry screens. the middle one of the 3 is the one you'll want to focus on because thats the 3D one. Now you have to focus some sort off way I cant describe and also you have to find the right disctance from the screen, the distance from which the screen turns sharp. Thats the #Ultimate3DExperience

Takes practice for most people. I've always been able to easily see these since I was kid (I practiced a lot then). Now I can cross my eyes once, and voila. Good luck! Keep trying. (It still gives me headaches, though, so I can imagine it's more unpleasant for some people.)

It's so much easier to see this in 3D, if you have a pair of 3D glasses, and probably better for your eyes.

Buy a pair of red-&-blue glasses or a 3D comic book that comes with them or make your own, if you can find red cellophane & blue cellophane—red for the left eye, blue for the right.

Although the video will then be in 3D, you won't feel like you're on the roller coaster. IMAX or Cinerama can give you that experience because they're wide enough to include your peripheral vision.

@musicmelenium it does take practise, to focuse your eyes after they are crossed is hard but its easy once you get the hang of it. then vdos like this are awesome. try using chain link fences, cross your eyes until one link bgoes into anoter...then just focus on the "single" link.

@AnbuSoldier87 when you look at something, you see 2 images...as you have 2 eyes. your brain mashes them together so you have one image with depth perception. what you are doing is forcing your brain to see depth with 2 seperate 2D images, allowing you to see a 3D imagin on a 2D screen. makes sense?

This was awesome.

What you need to do is not cross your eyes too hard. Just try to get the railings of the tracks line up correctly and then relax your eyes. The focus will be a bit blurred but the effect is there.

NOTE: at first i tried focusing hard enough as to make the dots come closer to eachother, that is impossible! you will never be able to focus enough to make them into one, just simply cross your eyes like as if you were trying to look at your nosetip, but at the same time, slightly focus more and more at the video. when the dots meet and form 1 clear dot, it shoul be locked, you sould now be able to look (not to fast) at the video clear and 3D

@koalinyt it worked beautifully! To see it, sit at least arm's length away from your screen. Hold your finger up close to your face and focus on it; you'll see a third 'virtual' 3D video appear inbetween the left and right eyes' videos. VERY SLOWLY, lower your finger. Do it too fast and your eyes won't be able to refocus (because what your eyes are doing is focusing on something very close but 'looking' at something further away).

Now I've got the hang of it I can 'see' the 3D almost instantly.

Takes a bit of practice to manage the cross-eye method, but it works very nicely. Also helps to make sure you have the video set to the correct method.
