If you stare directly at the x for the whole video, the colors go from negative to black and white. however if you stare at it well enough, the picture looks completely normally colored
sigh, idiot. if an image could change how your mind works, then we would all die at young ages. it's not your mind that is being tricked, ur mind simply processes what your eyes pick up. because the light sensors at the back of your eyeball become accustomed to the absorption of that specific wavelength of light from the image, when it changes, the old image is instilled in the sensors and overlaps the black and white, which produces color. your mind has nothing to do with this process.
billywill7 wrote "its incredible what the mind can do" He may be wrong when it comes to this "optical illusion" but in all other aspects he is correct. It is incredible. Then you call me an idiot? If you weren't an idiot yourself you would have left out the "no its not" in your previous comment and just stated that the mind wasn't doing anything. Instead, you jump to conclusions. The mind is incredible, irrespective of its lack of participation in this illusion.
"it's not your mind that is being tricked" correct for this illusion! But your mind is extremely susceptible to deception through vision. "if an image could change how your mind works" doesn't matter, nothing needs to "change" how your mind works for things to be perceived incorrectly. Binocular eyes aren't perfect and already are easily fooled. Nothing needs to "change"
in fact, in order to further prove my point, think of it like this. when you sleep naked and wake up with imprinted marks on your body from your sheets because the sheets were pressed against your skin for such a long time, is it your mind that makes your skin withdraw? no, it is the cells of the skin withdrawing inward from the pressure of the sheets.
I woulda rather had some scary monster that would make me scream pop up then stare at this lol.
