@niels2029 the huge difference from V11 to V50 is probably the kinetic effect which is similar to the iphone scrolling. There are also some changes in the music player like now it shows album thumbnails for each song tracks. I notice they also added some Ovi apps supports and there's some changes in the Map application as well, but i don't use it much tho. Upgrading to V50 fixed a lot of bugs that i'm experiencing before.

@jmreaction your right... i really did see some huge changes to the touch... and fixed some bugs sometimes touch doesnt work..... and also the music player... it is much user friendly scrolling... be4 it was so difficult to scroll to music, i luv this phone..... getting the n8 when it comes out hihihi

@hansel563 probably updates are not available in that country, but try to check once more cuz sometimes its just saying no available updates tho there is. Actually today i just updated mine from V40 to V50 version, and yesterday it said no available updates then i checked it today and now its available.

@TheDavidNolanChannel this update doesnt have a lot of changes, maybe they fix some few bugs.. but now V40 is available for update and it does have a lot of changes like the home screen and the kinetic scrolling. :D

nope, theres nothing to change anything, just download the firmware then install it in this same procedure :)

you can download it for free using wifi connection just like what i did :)

and today you can get the much updated version, i just updated mine to V40, now it has kinetic effects and its so cool :D

I got real problem with this latest software version of nokia! Some images and videos are corrupted for unknown reason! Do you also experience this kind of bug with the V31.0.101 software of nokia 5800?

Hey .. 1. The map-function has changed too.

2. If you want your 5800 to be more fast, turn off the Theme effects .. they do slow down the phone a lot ! =)

The beauty of the Nokia 5800 is that you dont have to back up any data, contacts etc. just let it update OTA or through pc and you settings etc all stay the same and date still stays there...

It's an awesome phone that Nokia has created... Perfect. Just that Nokia need to really do up the phone with more firmware updates that allow you to do more things.

and theres no big changes at all.. the only one i notice is in the music player that when you tap the screen theres the volume toggle appears instead of using the volume rocker buttons on the side.. maybe they just fix some old issues..
