Those who hurt their father, kill them Those who curse their parents, kill them. Adulterers. kill them Fornicators kill them ,Those who work on the Sabbath kill them. Non believers, those who believe other religions ,false prophets, blasphemers.Kill them.Where is the compassion ?

@tallliza This shows your ignorance. Point out one verse in the Bible which encourages people to kill all of the above that you have mentioned. Especially in the New Testament on which the major part of Christianity is based. Your anger and hatred itself shows your worth and value. Accepting Christ is only part of Rdemption. Once we acknowledge that He is Lord we then must recognise our sinfulness and our unworthiness and accept the Grace that Christ's Passion and Death have won for us. Living a life of Grace in Christ is not easy - it has to be worked at, sometimes we succeed sometimes we fall and these falls are due to our human weakness. The sins we commit knowingly and willingly are the ones that we ask forgiveness of. Hence the humility required to go to Confession.

A lovely hymn but technically inaccurate. One needs not ask for mercy as mercy has already been given via Jesus Christ. In addition, the renouncement of sin does not guarantee admission to Heaven. Admission is only by accepting Christ and not by how sin-free we are or perceive to be. However, the song remains beautiful.

I really like this hym and enjoying singing it in church. But some of the words honestly give me chills (as I am sure they're suppose to). Sometimes I feel like my sins are endless and therefore the idea of getting into heaven is just an idea - It can never be achieved. The only problem I have with this hymn is that it doesn't reflect the hope and happiness of a never-ending love our father has for his sinful children. God is love.
