@morv1891 apparently people are paying more than double for it on eBay...My iPod nano does pretty much the same thing and I can listen to music as well. Agreed too much money. The thought into it is pretty genius though.

I'm really confused by what "NikeFuel" really is. Its not calories...so its just some arbitrary number they assign to activities? I really wish they connected it to calories so it would make more sense and have more of a basis to it...as it is, its just some made up number that means as much or as little as they want it to...or at least explain the concept a little more to us, because it doesn't make sense to me, anyway.

And yes, PLEASE make an app for android! Not everyone uses iPhone!!!

I don't know if the fuelband is the hot ticket or not, but if it is effective, the one-time price of $150 is a damn bargain. Plenty of people spend $80/month for a gym they don't go to, or $100 for a pair of running shoes that sit unused in the closet, or $600 for a treadmill that gathers dust. Technologies like the fuelband connected to smartphones make it routine to measure daily activity so you can step up and burn those few extra calories each day that make a difference.

I can have iPod Nano 6th Gen in $129, It also has a pedometer which also syncs to Nike+ website, and at the same time i can play my favorite music while working out. Why would I pay for $150 dollars for a pedometer that measures only my fuel? When you sync iPod nano on Nike+ website, it also generates Nike Fuel. Nano can also be wrist watch, with stop watch too.

You have to be truly invested and serious about being active in order to pay $149, instead of just wearing it as a fad. I think that's the model behind the price rate. It's not just about the band, it's about what it takes to build it, the mobile app, and the social interaction and integration on the website.
