Hey, I'm glad to see this is still alive and well in my old stomping grounds. I did a free hugs day on high street a long time ago. Only I approached people and asked if they would like a hug, and it was really interesting. I had a homeless man approach me and I gave him a hug, and even though he smelled horrible it was worth it. I then watched him walk down the block to another homeless man and he stood the other homeless man up and gave him a hug. Truly an amazing experience. Good job guys!

Get a petition! The first free hugs guy, Juan Mann, got shut down by the cops too...so he got petitions sent around in the city, he got over 10,000 signatures and the city was forced to allow him to continue his Free Hugs Campaign. I'll support you! XD

OMG I can't believe someone called the cops on you. Some friends of mine are gonna do a Free Hugs at Comfest in Columbus. Will send you the details. I don't think we'll have any problem at Comfest. Been doing it there for 3 years and no problems so far. Many hugs guys.

omg me and my frinns did this in columbus too but we got kicked out of westland mall and the rent-a-cop's boss took my camera and deleted my vid. but the rent-a-cop did give all of us a hug b4 we left. =}

I did a campaign with a friend in Kansas City, MO a couple weeks ago... It was amazing. I got hugs from people 5 to 85.

Free Hugs in the US in Dallas, TX at Southern Methodist Uni - March 13-14/09 during the FIRST Robotics Competition! Free admission to public. Come support the youth's interest and discovery of science, technology, AND humanity.

When we took a break, I left my sign in an arena, crossed the arena, and the only thing in the crowd that caught my eye was the "Free Hugs" sign!
