I usually don't like Etnies. Like with those big ol stuffy dumb ass looking E on their shoes and such. But they're starting to get some legitimate skaters such as: Mikey Taylor, Sean Malto, and Abbe. If Abbe makes a pro model i will buy them just because i love his skating and originality.

let me tell you a story. i used to be a "good skateboarder" (not GREAT) a long time ago. i was doing tre flips probably before most of you all were born. i never lost the love of skateboarding. i skated all the time. One day (and i don't know what it was) I thought "why am i trying to imitate the "pros". i started doing ollie impossibles again during sessions with the local people and was made fun of. That wasn't a "cool" trick anymore, i guess.

@withperfecttiming but i wanted to get back to "fun" while still respecting the dedication it takes to skate. it's funny how people i used to skate with and do the "good" tricks around respect you. but if you do something out of the love of skateboarding that isn't "popular" then people shun you. great life lesson. i'm glad to see skating going the right way now. i like to see skaters actually respecting people like albert nyberg. maybe i'll start skating more again.
