Saw a documentary years ago about German POWs in the North of England and oddly enough everybody liked them, they fitted in well and walked around freely and worked hard in the fields or as mechanics etc and the locals put on a Cristmas meal and tiny concert for them and during it when somebody was singing Silent Night, all the prisonetrs spontaneously stood up and sung this at the top of their voices and everybody was in tears, people said it was beautiful

This is purely and simply a gorgeous piece of music. It's no wonder it's my very favorite Christmas hymn. The Vienna Boys Choir performs it more beautifully than anyone I have ever heard.

Perhaps at this time of the year when the Christians are going to celebrate Christmas, lets us all ' not to do anything that shall harm others, and not to do anything that will harm ourself.' Thus, a Christian can become a good Christian, a Buddhist good Buddhist.....
