Ouuch... 3 days bake and render time . . . and your domain box is too small. But change the scale of the water to be really large so that it doesnt look like the city is mini. Make the water smaller in size so you dont have to supersize the city/domain, causing even longer bake/render time
I would love to see masses of water being thrown half a kilometer through the air like that, it looks pretty cool. But I think everyone above 30 centimeters will survive though. If not, I'm not sure they're suppose to carry on their DNA strain >)
@Scanlia I just found about these programs, and my future PC is a Phenom II x4 with either 4GB or 8GB of RAM and a HD6870. How does this program work? can i run it? would it be faster than your pc?:P
@werandomnize Not so preposterous. Lituya Bay, Canada, 1958, tsunami caused by 8.5 earthquake and a landslide of 30 million cubic meters of rock sliding into the ocean, raised a wave estimated at 525 meters high. There have been several tsunamis in the last 200,000 years that make that one look puny, such as one that scoured the coast of Australia after a landslide in Hawaii.
3 days? are you kidding me? It takes me about 4 hours to render something like that. The resolutio of fluid look very low. I don't particles. So, why 3 days?
The cohesion/adhesion coefficients are all wrong; water doesn't behave that way at that scale. 0:16 - closest side: when would flood waters be walled in by buildings?
how did you even get that city and the tsunami in that white background? doesn't it just have gray background, a grid type surface, and cubes, shapes ect.?
@Scanlia so do most things, you have to fake it by adjusting viscosity and speed and raising the resolution obscenely high. Look at Mike Pan's Massive Fluid Simulation, it was done in blender but is very well done and realistic.
@Scanlia a good way to combat the speed issue is to change the gravity of the world to like 5.0 (from 10.0), this will create the illusion that the water is of a much larger scale.
@YINGAI1995 i think less than 10 hours to simulate and the same to render. The mesh has not a lot of detail. It seems like a bottle of water going into sugar's pieces.
them some strong buildings to withstand that wave!

@goku0warrior its the program physics, but it needs a very long time to be rendered.
this video, for example, was made in a i7 with 4GHZ and rendered in 3 days.
