Pretty stupid to drive down there with a 2wd rav4.. Even the awd rav4 only have 4x4 when your about to get stuck.. Maybe to late.. Much better with permanent 4-mode 4wd like on grand vitara.. When you get in trouble with 4h you engage 4l locked and turn back home.. Also if you get i trouble you have a chassis with more riggid frame combined with unibody.. Better luck getting pulled out on that one vs this vehicle without frame.. Rav4 is more like a vw golf with extra ground clearance..
Title is lame, anyone can get stuck. I've pulled plenty of vehicles out that were capable. The Rav4 is a small SUV built on a car chassis and performs remarkably well in that class. You need to be very careful pulling unibody chassis vehicles out, I've seen unibody jeeps get ripped apart as well.
I always assumed the 4 in Rav 4 ment is was 4x4 not that it had 4 doors or could handle 4 passengers . maybe they meen you can haul one 4x4 stud in it . If you are going to put a Name that implys that it is all whell drive you can see where the confusion is . Maybe they should have called the the Ravlees4 . Kind of like the two wheel drive toyota truck that is an off road addiation but only 2 wheel drive .

We had a storm during the night and a tree had blown down across his driveway . He lives on the beach so he thought he couold just drive down the beach . He would have been fine if the tide had been out .
@HILLAUTOBODY Well if the guy has a good reason to do so, it's ok. But how many times did you, as a recovery truck driver, see people driving minivans and sedans on the beach? I've seen a LOT!!!
I charged him $185.00 I I have to go out in the water our out on a snad bar the price goes up . I also charge more if I have to put my cables out uinto the salt water . I base my charges on how much am I risking . If the risk factor is low I do not need to make as much .
