  • hey, i read about your guitar in a book, you may find this question sacralige, but how is the tone hold up under distortion?

  • This guy's got it mastered

  • Hi Kon, They are around $4,800.00 and up, you can see much more on the Touch Guitar at davebunkerguitars.c, or call me - 206-718-9943, thanks, Dave B

  • This is an amazing instrument. How much would one like this cost me?

  • It sure does, the bass and the guitar are completely separate in every way, although they will work side by side in any amp also. You also can order them with 4-6 or 10 string outputs, which is a nice feature if you like the multiple channel stereo sounds. More info at Bunker Guitars

  • does it have two different outputs so you can have different effects on the bass and the guitar parts?

  • Thanks, it's as fun as it looks, makes lots of music, it's standard tuning eadgbe so easy to learn, got one ready to send to you!!!

  • Sir! you impressed so badly that i can't close my jaw :O Im playin guitar but that.... wow! respect man!

  • @thethethe777 Thanks, it is very fun to play, someday soon I hope to have many of them out in the publics hands, friend, Dave

  • That is the neatest instrument I've ever seen! As long as I've been going to music shops, especially places like Guitar Center, I'm surprised I've never once seen one of these on the shelves for sale... which makes me question how many guitar players (even veteran) really know or have heard about these.

I barely heard about one tonight, I'm definately going to have to keep an eye out for one now. Thank you for introducing us to this neat instrument!

  • Hey Dave, You're just as awesome as ever; a real treasure to the guitar world. Miss you, Larry Broido

  • @60lab Thants Larry, you have truly been a great and loving friend and supporter, love and respect you for that, Dave B

  • Reminds me of when my Uncles would get together and play at the Family picnics every summer. They would have flipped if they saw one of these.

  • He's a gentle man too!! Nice playing - great instrument!!

  • @biusKOCH Thanks, for your frienship and support, the Touch Guitar has been a lifetime quest for perfection of a new musical instrument idea, your friend, Dave B

  • Awesomeness :)

  • You should appear on Garrison Keillor's show. His audience would love this!

  • @bardicsinger Thanks, I'll check that out, Dave B

  • this is one of the best creations i have seen man hats off to you ddbunk

  • @ascari100

It's been a lifetime development, but so worth it. Just now starting to get production back on the move, so sell them but in limited quantities, at Bunker Guitars

  • ddbunk...that was wonderful...cant imagaine playing guitar AND the bass, smart cookie there! Do you make these guitars and perform? Never heard of such a thing!

  • Thanks, it has been a lifetime design, I build them custom with the Dave Bunker method book , they are really a great instrument and I add midi if wanted , I do perform with the instrument, thanks, DB

  • you just blew my mind with this

  • Eddie van halen must have one?

  • Eddie isn't really that talented

  • @bush555 Eddie Van Halen jambed with me at a NAMM show several times in LA, he was great on the Touch Guitar, and is a wonderful artist and talent, love him for his work

  • @lidesnowi I think he wanted one, but when you have spent a lifetime developing a great style liked his, you stay with it. I hope sometime in his retirment, he will get one and have fun with it, thanks for the comments, DaveB

  • chapman stick owns this.....

  • Dave Bunker and his touch guitar outdate Emmit Chaoman and his "stick". Do your homework.

  • @BurtDeWees Hi Burt, good to hear from you, enjoed our years of work together, hope all is well, your buddy, Dave B

  • Touch Guitars are amazing, i really want to try one.

  • I love those St Louis Blues sounds, really nice man keep it up! We need more innovative guitar players like you, to keep the music industry new and 'fresh'

    Grtz!

  • Thanks Grtz, for the nice comments, now if I can just get everyone in the world to play one, have a great day, dave

  • or a song like La Paloma, with the latin bass figure underneath.

  • Thanks for your nice response, I love La Paloma, I've played for the last 30 years, I'll get it up one of these days, thanks again

  • wonderful thing you've done. i've always wanted to mimic Jimmy Smith's Hammond Organ style somehow on guitar but it's impossible. (anyway not even organists can). have you tried this? you can send me info if you like. thanks.

  • Thats insane!!! that is the coolest thing i have ever seen.. awsome....

  • Hey , just wait, I haven't even started showing what can be done on the Touch Guitar, i just haven't had the time. I'm litterly loaded down with new guitar wood but hope soon the get caught up and get back to the videos, thanks Dave

  • I've never seen, or even heard of such. I've been playing for 20 years, seen double and even triple-neck guitars, but not this. You are absolutely amazing! Very knowledgeable musically.

  • this is the first time i've seen the touch guitar, but i have to say it literally blew me away. some of the tones you can get out of it are incredible. keep up the good work mate ^__^

  • Thanks , I appreciate the comments, keep tuned more sounds and styles upcoming soon

  • Great to see someone using effects and bends, the way 8 finger should be. There's a reason touch guitarists don't just "Play the piano! instead". The guitar is more expressive in many ways.

  • Thanks, In the near future I'm going to start teaching my Touch Guitar students and buyers across the country new things you can do on the Touch Guitar, I just haven't had the time to get into effects and styles like I want to.

  • Hi Dave, Did you move your guitar shop here in Marysville now? And is it open to the public to come and see or play your guitar?

    Thanks Darren

  • Good to hear from you. I do my wood business in Marysville, my son and me do the guitars out of Utah. I still work on and finish guitars here and when I can play music. Dave Bunker Guitars

  • Dave, that electronic string dampener system is great. It should be possible to install it on other tapping guitars as well. You're an inventor, you figure out how, hehe!!

  • Hi garyopenhill, It can and I do install it on other guitars and basses, thanks DB

  • Here's the master, again. What an instrument, and what great playing!

  • Hi Sam and Robin, it's great folk like you folks who keep a crazy guitar builder/inventor like myself moving on. Thanks so much for the great support. Dave

  • Amazing stuff!

  • Thanks, if I was as good figuring how to make sites like this work as I am in inventing new ways to play guitar I'd happy. Have a great day. Dave
