To clear things up here: 1) The croc is from the Philippines and not from Indonesia, I would know because the place they found it happens to be near where I used to live, 2) They're not speaking in an Indonesian language but it can be sometimes mistaken because they sound often alike, 3) There's no point on setting it free again because it was the one who tresspassed in the villager's territory in the first place then devouring a local water buffalo and some fishermen.

The other language you heard is called Manobo dialect/language spoken by native people in a place called Agusan Marsh where they captured this crocodile. I think the point of capture is to protect the humans and fauna Aka 'livestock' in the area while also preserving Lolong by keeping it safe in a habitat similar to his own. Also force-feeding water helped induce the vomiting to be sure they had the right suspect by identifying possible human remains through the vomit... Can't say they did much wrong here as the beast is alive. The guys who caught it have balls of steel.
