Great..... Now people are going to get fat because the have motors on the mountain bikes. What is the world coming to. What ever happend to pedaling your ass up a hill. At least you feel better about yourself knowing you didn't cheat.
@14ot Cheat?! Are you serious? What do you call a motorcyclist or car driver then? Ebikes are for commuting, or to fill that niche as a low powered lightweight motorcycle for off road fun. Nothing wrong with that. I've raced bicycles since I was little, but the ebike makes a lot more sense for commuting.
Anything over 1000w is illegal to ride on city streets without lights, signals, and a motorcycle license. I sure am glad the police are electrically illiterate.....
Awesome! I was cracking up when you were peeling out in the parking lot when you turned the electric motor on. Seems like you would really benefit from a "soft start" feature. I wish there was a bike path to work and I'd get one of these, unfortunately our bridges have no bike paths at all.
I don't understand the hate in here, I can ride my bike 20 miles to work but it takes a long time to get up the long steep hills. So I would love to get an electric motor to help boost my overall speed when I need it. I don't own a car and the bus is $5/day or $60/month. My moped is only $30 month to run.
When I don't have to get to work on time then I'll just ride a normal bike, but I see electric bikes and an alternative to cars and motorcycles/mopeds, not an alternative to pedal bikes.
I guess I don't understand why anyone would buy an electric bike. Don't you want to to do the work yourself and get in shape? But to each his own. I might get one when I get to be 90 yrs old.
You still have the tag on the front of the bike....jeez! and if you ride your bike the old fashion way, those hills will be pretty easy... just get some strong legs.. not those Flamingo legs you have. Everyone's gettin' so lazy....
Nice, thanks for the video. jeeze, 2500 watts? Will that thing spray roost in the dirt if you floor it? I just ordered an E+ 1000w kit, still waiting for it to arrive. But I test rode an older 1000w E+ at the shop and I damn near pulled a wheelie when I hit the throttle. Different company, different system, but I wonder how they compare.
you could probably get a 2805 Nine contient with a controller for $500 but if you want a good battery that will last long, it will cost you at least $500...you can get cheap SLA's for about $150- 200, though but don't expect them to last more than year
Aluminum frame on that thing? Do you have torque arms on it? I can't really make out the drop out configuration. Tell me more.. Looks like a great commuter rig.. I like..

@JoeVSvolcano I see lots of illegal, dangerous things happen on the roads. Riding a powerful ebike responsibly shouldn't be of concern.

@MichelleDri Exactly, the guy does a good job of a homemade review. The haters are just jealous.

Man, you shouldn't ride a bike! You have no sense of equilibrium! My grandmother has more skill ;)

@emilmatejka1 It's called "balance" not "equilibrium" FYI.

make sure it's the 2805 Nine continent if you want speed..the 2806 and 2807 are much slower
cypher954 2 years ago
It's the best ride, smooth and fast!!! But I would not recommended take it off road and just because it expensive!!!

I'd never buy a bike without knowing the weight - it's critical
A bunch of bikes weigh tons more than necessary = poor range / speed.
If the juice ever runs out - to pedal is torture - even on the flat

I have a Tidal FOrce M-750X and live down the street. I ride up the hills all the time. I'd love to check it out .

I did it once, not in front of police just to see what it like. I don't recommended to anyone!!!!
