RoyalAlba1, to answer your question is a tough one. Now, with Cowboy Action Shooting being so popular, SAO pistols are being made very common. But as far as "modern style" pistols are concerned, my "guess" would be SA/DA. You would probably have to go to an industry consortium of some sort to get the actual low down on the numbers produced.

A heavy frame revolver like that shooting 38 specials kicks like a freaking .22 The lack of recoil using that round is perfect to ween new shooters into it's full potential as a 357 making it not only a pistol to start out with but become very comfortable with it and use magnum rounds for defense and hunting.

She needs to straighten her arms firmly and lift the pistol up to a more natural line of sight. She needs to lock that right elbow and absorb the recoil into her shoulder. I can only assume she's standing correctly - lean into it a bit. She'd also benefit greatly from keeping both eyes open when shooting - squint the left if needed (w/o glasses) but never shut it completely.

Good question. I think they're (sub)consciously trying to distance themselves from the muzzle-end. In short, they're gun-shy. I tend to do just the opposite and instruct others this way. Then again, I was professionally trained.

Yes, I agree completely. I used to train friends and dates to shoot quite often. I always started them on .22 LR. After some practice and confidence building with the .22, I'd let them shoot .38 Special. After that, if they wanted to, I'd let them fire some 9mm and .357 Magnum.
