awesome video! question--- if my disc drums are compressing the rotors but arent fully decompressing does that mean i need to bleed my brake lines? tnx!
Been using Shimano for last couple years over Avid .At first, for the simple reservoir system. After going to the servo XT's systems from the 1st gen Xt's, I can say that Shimano really knows their shit. I just restored some old quad XT's w/ XT serv levers and they are so powerful. The longevity of Shimano brake compnts is impressive. HAS ANYONE BLED THE 2012 XT's yet?? This new inline reservoir looks like the Avids bleed system. That makes me a little worried. I love the open reservoir.
This is the first time I have seen the process done from the calliper upwards but I think I will also be doing it this way, looks to be more thorough. Thanks!
Great video, I was just out on my Scott and the back brake become stuck on, didn't know what to do so took out the pads, and came home without using the back brake.
What has happened...I've no idea...what do you recommend??
awesome video Clay! Tried to do this job with some cheaper mineral oil from a shop called halfords, here in the UK. The problem with the cheaper mineral oil is getting the little bubbles out. I had problems getting bubbles out of just the syringe, let alone the actual brakes!!!! Gonna order some shimano fluid straight away, and will let you know how much better it is. Thanks again.
hi, clay thanxs for the vid, i have myself a pair of saints but it seens they are real saints and their miracle is to make air apear in the system, i have had spend two siringes but air is still there. anyway excellent vid
