I've been trying to find YT video of a more recent Sony Watchman [about 10yrs old w/a 3.5 screen] that was tear drop shaped and had a "straptenna", I gave it away since to relatives in Central America since it it had no a/v input and Analog was about a year from dying...
I also remember a much older Watchman, same form factor, bigger tho because it played 8mm videotapes... Wore that one out and gave it away when the tuner started to go, wish I could see it in action again!
The idea of a battery powered, flat CRT still has sex appeal that LCD's don't have. There must be a composite signal somewhere inside, you can override.
@SpiritsoftheWolf i got it to work somewhat but my screen has always been tilted so its a little eh. i use a copper wire and plugged it into my rf out and i only got a couple uhf channels. most of which were screwy.
@TheMachinimanator, if your vcr has a cable hookup not the rca video hookup, it will work, just take the cable wire and touch the antenna and make sure the tv channel is on 3 or 4 depending on your vcr channel setting is on, you should get a reception from the vcr
I have one of these that I picked up at a garage sale for $1. It sucks though because there's no more signal to watch. I need to work out how to bring in a component signal from my oldish vid camera. I remember when these came out they will like $500 - $600 (iirc) and I was seriously lusting after it but had no money at the time! I ended up getting an equivalently sized Panasonic a year or two later... it was very cool and great to watch Knight Rider on!
they should let us run "pirated anlog stations" i have one but only people in my area can c it its 24/7 i show viral youtube videos and movies (old ones so i dont get suid) like its a mad mad mad mad world back tp the future casablanks etc...
you know what else you can do buy yourself a vhf\uhf video transmitter and plug i like a dvd or a vcr or computer into your transmitter then when you go to bed turn on the transmitter and the dvd or vcr and watch with no additional vires
how does it work after every thing switched to regular cable that you have to pay for

Here in Canada we have analog TV until 2011. We still lost the analog cell phone network, though.
