Hmmmm.. I looked up "resolution" Interesting stuff, I have to learn more about it. I would make riffs that, when I tried to go back to the start of the riff, it seemed really choppy and too much of a transition. Resolution seems to be what I need there.. Finding that ending chord or note to finish the riff of, and enable to get a natural transition back into the start of it again.. thank you..

it's talking about the rhythm. most song are done in 4/4 meaning they have 4 quarter notes per measure. eighth notes are twice as fast. so instead of counting 1-2-3-4, you count 1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and, but the time between the 1,2,3,4. twice as many notes played twice as fast.

its both- its an acoustic with a pickup inside it so you can plug it into an amp if you want to. or if you dont want to, its still acoustic and you could play it out in the woods or something.

To help you understand music theory. You have to know all the positions of chords on the guitar. A C chord is anything from a bar chord, to an open chord, to a partial chord (Root 5th). There are many inversions you need to learn as well. From his chart, if you are playing in the key of C, follow left to right for the notes in the scale and then the three note chord names and four note chord names. Now if you don't know how to play a C major chord you are in trouble.
