  • I discovered SGM through Tin Hat Trio. Love Both ... And just discovered Idiot Flesh.

  • This is my absolute favorite version of this song.

  • Es una de las mejores bandas Instrumentales que conozco

  • damn carla is awesome!

  • My first time hearing these folks. WOW! Thank you!

I've going through versions to relearn this and shake off the Chad and Jeremy. Think I'll stop here. :)

  • wish i had been there...

  • wish i had been there ..

  • Best verson of this song ever.

  • and weeep for me <3

  • Amazing

  • Oh! :O strong influence of music was left breathless while listening

  • Best performance of this song I've heard thus far. Can't get enough of Carla!

  • @tpsossff You, good sir, are a dick-bag.

  • @Rocketboy5

I notice a hell of a lot of empty seats. She is up there on stage dressed like she has just put the washing out after a good time the night before. If she wants to capture the audience she has got to make the effort and look good. OK she can sing but that is simply not enough.

  • @tpsossff if billy holliday sang to empty seats in a house robe, would that affect the musicality of the performance? I'm curious so see your next retrenchment.

  • @personflesh

Of coarse it would not, but then Holiday was in a totally different league. She looked good, sounded good, had personality, charisma and sang her songs with an honesty that bore testament to her own upbringing.

  • @tpsossff It is enough for me that she can sing. All else follows. peace

  • @tpsossff You've got some kind of superiority complex going on. She can sing, bottom line. She could also sit down and play the violin with the orchestra just as well as they could. She's a fantastic musician, but my favorite part about her is the song writing. Love all her projects.

  • @Omnipot3ntX

Superiority what? Look through the comments here, most of the viewers love her. It is refreshing that she is someone who is a proper musucian ....... in a world where so many talentless people parade themselves on karioki shows like X Factor and think they are stars it is good to know that the real thing is still around.

I wish her well, but in this case her style etc is not for me.

  • @tpsossff It looks like a rehearsal to me!

  • stunning! beautiful! wow!

  • i love all her projects/bands and she is starting her own record label called twelve cups.she is one of the most inspiring artists iv ever herd or seen completely an amazing person as you all know im sure

  • Hell yeah!

  • That's perfection. Sweetness is the hardest thing to do convincingly in music I reckon and that pulled it off.

  • Carla is my favorite singer in the world

    i swear

i am compleaty love struck by her voice

  • I own two of thier CDs they're an amazing band!

  • This song is amazing! i just found out that carla is in Tin Hat Trio after being a fan of Sleepytime Gorilla Museum for a while

  • Same route of discovery for me also :) I love her!

  • @wilkiemart you may already know but she also has a band called 2foot yard and if you google her she has several side projects and she is starting her own label called twelve cups records

  • shes starting a redord label??!?!? thats awesome! yea i have heard 2 foot yard, didnt like it quite as much but it was still good.

  • I think SGM got all of them a larger and more diverse audience. Personally, I got into SGM cuz I like metal (not all metal, there's tons of garbage out there too) but I'm also a violinist and have just finished a course on Beethoven and the Romantic Age. SGM (and tin hat and 2 foot yard and idiot flesh ect) really opened my mind to avant garde and contemporary music though. Seperately, I discovered Henry Cowell a few weeks ago. Together they are putting me through an expedient musical epiphany!

  • EXACTLY! thats why i love SGM, its dark and heavy and metal and all that, but they also incorporate classical which gives it a VERY unique sound. its brilliant!

  • @wilkiemart

Same here..I love s.g.m and I began listening to tin hat trio not long ago and this is a nice surprise

  • i get chills

  • Makes me dreammmm....

  • Fantastic performance from the soloists and orchestra!

  • wow this is one of the most beautiful performances of the theme written by Ann Ronnel

  • wonderful voice

  • Crushin' on you, Carla, and not the least because of what you did with this song. I saw you in Mpls, when my girlfriend at the time (whom you resemble) was in LA, and wished it was you, instead, who was my girlfriend. Still do.

  • AWESOME!

  • This is sheer beauty. There is a Brian Wilson vibe lurking in this... probably the bass harmonica : C }

  • She sounds like the singer of Mother Mother, sort of.

  • I love the fact that Carla can shred in Sleepytime, then come and bust out something this beautiful and classic.

  • I know! Just got the 2 Foot Yard album... love it.

And, of course, let's not discredit Mark and Rob for being extremely talented.

  • Sittin' here..glass of wine, raining outside, suns setting...this is beautiful; the kind of music where you can sit and let life pass you. Such a different voice - great :) Beautiful orchestra, too.

  • she's the new Judy Garland!

  • Never have I heard a more evocative rendition.

  • From listening to Sleepytime Gorilla Museum, then the song Twith from Idiot Flesh, now this band/amazing orchestra, I am fully appreciative of this most relaxing moment in time that is provided by you amazing profound 1's Thank You!

  • belleza musical

  • so so beautiful... thanks for share it

  • Tin Hat owns. What a gorgeous performance.

  • Such crude locution for such a flawless thing! Fair enough, though.

  • Comment removed

  • Er, I mean... whereas I asserted with such insipid baseness that I delight at the Tin Hat Trio's epicurean performance and that I'm duly mollified and enriched by the concinnity of their execution of so timeless a tune, I deeply apologize for not having expressed my opinion with greater refinement.

  • good job with the Thesaurus :)

  • A haunting performance ; )

Thanks for the upload love it

  • Carla's got biguns!

  • Quit being pretentious and allow people to enjoy music the way they please.

  • humans are, aren't they?

  • lovely=)

  • Is this available as an mp3 anywhere? Haunting and lovely arrangement and performance!

  • Get the Tin Hat Trio's "Rodeo Eroded" album. It has a recording of this arrangement with the vocal performed by Willy Nelson. Absolutely beautiful! It's on ITunes and I'd recommend downloading the whole album. Well worth it!

  • carla is the loveliest creature in the world!

  • I love her more and more every day.

  • A beautifull interpretation of Willow,very nicely orchestrated,nice vocals,good solo,enjoyed this.

  • That sounds very sweet, and is really good to listen to!
