We use to call that area ( by the tracks)"the lots" where the "party people" from central park would hang out ....livin in Florida now and raised my family ... great memories and video ... gotta see your others ..Tks !

  • Great job , again thanks. La Fres was on the other side of the street(the large 99 cent store) in the mid 70's to at least the mid 80's. This was my old stomping grounds. i lived on 66th Street. again great job!! & thanks

  • @jjonpop before the laundromat wasnt it a gas station or just part of the auto shop?

  • would love to see video around maspeth houses

  • @stephanylooks98

I took a walk down Grand Ave in Maspeth this weekend and made 3 videos. Take a look.

  • Otto Road was a great place for learning to drive back in the early 60's, when it was more overgrown before some of the commercial buildings appeared. What is a laundy was a car dealer La Fres Ford i believe. as a kid did enter :the tracks' from time to time to climb on the box cars....Would speculate train going back and forth are to make up a train consist. The gondola cars filled w trash destined for landfills in far away states...
