@keepitmovingish Its prone to dry matted tangles, which are very painful to comb out and usually lead to hair breaking off. when its straight, it isnt tangled at the end of the day.
@Menocidekunt i wear my hair "natural" or "nappy" that never really happens to me, you just have to find the right products and maintence. but to each there own, iam sure your hair would look great in its maintained curly state too
@keepitmovingish perhaps. My moms hair is pretty different than mine and she swears by relaxers which is something i dont want, so i didnt grow up with much guidance on the topic. I grew up with extensions. When i made this vid it was really the first time i was experimenting with my real hair.
I remember you from myspace a few years ago and always wondered what you looked like w/o the dreads.. you're very pretty like this 'au natural' but of course you're just as gorgeous with the dreads
I've been your friend on Myspace for a while and we've talked a couple times but in this video you seem SOOOO different than you usually do... or come off or something...lol. You seem very friendly and approachable here, but sometimes you seems standoffish, or...hmmm, stuck up..lol...no offense... at all meant. You seem so cool in this vid, and I love your hair, I'm natural, so of course, I'm loving the curls...lol.
Im a mixed girl and have been battling with the "curse " of the curly hair for 18 yrs lol. Def look into the keratin hair treatment its the shit and mad cheap compared to the Japanese pin straightening.
ur stupid kaliyuta!!!!!!....it means mixed race dumb ass... its slang........and she can say that i do we are more than one thing....y deny what u r my father is white and my mom is black so that makes me mixed multi-culture etc......DUH!!!
ur stupid kaliyuta!!!!!!....it means mixed race dumb ass... its slang........and she can say that i do we are more than one thing....y deny what u r my father is white and my mom is black so that makes me mixed multi-culture etc......DUH!!!
I have that same feeling. Ive had braids or dreads for a long time and i took a break not to long ago and i sooo misss my extentions! I soo love coming up with new and different color stores.
hmmm i have a little concern about the title though.I get this label amongst the blk community to the point wherei don't even have a name to them.I'm just known as "that crazy mixed girl" It's actually based on stereotype that if ur mixed ur "mixed up in the head and confused".
@kaliyuta lmfao wtf? i moreso meant i have poofy hard to manage hair, which has nothing to do with my mind, but feel free to take it anyway you'd like....doesn't effect me one bit :p
@Menocidekunt no no u misunderstand me.I was speaking of the title. And that the title "crazy mixed girl" was an actual stereotype on mixed girls who are different and have their own individuality.that's all.
love this lol! my hair is more on the white side so no real complaints!! i actually cant use "black" products! but anyways!! i live in MD also, theres not mansy cyber goths here at all! out of a kidrillion ppl theres like 2,and thts us lmao! are u a club orpheus(er) ?
@rainbow1892 YOU SHOULD NOT GET DREADS!!! I made that mistake when I had gotten micros, and it ruined my hair. That is why my hair had been so hard to manage, and had taken hours and hours and hours (sometimes almost up to 12 hours) to straighten, comb, brush, straighten again, re-oil, straighten again, comb, comb somemore than brush....pleaaase don't ruin your pretty hair!
@rainbow1892 I'm mixed as well, and lately I've just given up straightening, because I couldn't afford the right tools that I needed, and because my hair is literally like 'high maintenanced', and I can only use certain products. Loreal matrix, products made from olive oil, and white-girl oil sheen (lmao). I use to use Cherry oil when I had cornrows, and micros.
i know how you feel! i have i have mixed hair too and its such a pain to take care of cause i dont have to time to go through all the process to get it straight...lol! so im also going to go back to extensions because it does take forever to manage my hair. lol! plus my hair never stays straight and frizzes up so fast. it only stays straight if i get a relaxer but i dont want to do that to my hair all the time.
i kno how u feel x-x i'm mixed (black & white) and i can't find anything to keep it pretty straight! you are the closet to my hair but it's not up and about curly lol but i was wondering if u used to have problems keeping your hair straight AFTER! my hair keeps poofy n frizzy pllllllz help )':
@0Tabitha0 hey there, im also mixed half black and white and my hair is pretty much the same as hers but a little longer. i straighten my hair quite alot, and i have been trying to stop and find new ways to style it but here aare some that have worked for me and this crazy type of hair, one dont even try to make your hair stay striaght when it is humud outside in the summer it wont work i promise you that no matter what you do but during but chi silk infusion will work in any other season. :)
i feel your pain with the mixed hair and the massives and your arms being sore from glowsticking hahaha :) no matter what i do with my hair it'll poof
I have the same kind of hair you do and I'm not biracial, well, I might be somewhere but I've had it relaxed using Affirm. It was good imho. I still had to blow dry it and iron it to get it totally straight. I've heard about japanese technique but don't know if the benefits are more than african relaxing. ie. Do you still have to use heat to get it straight? Anyone know?
omg i thought i was the only one!!! I hate coming back home after a party or something and I have a big curly frizzy mess :( it takes so long to straighten booooo but the things we do lol
My friend is biracial, and she purchased one of those flat irons they sell at one of those kiosks. I forget what it's called, but it was at Arundel Mills. And she says it's amazing.
u r a Goddess!!! u r so unbelievably fine!! super gorgeous & amazing!!! I luv the way u look with ur extensions & how u look now, just totally natural!!!!!!!!
lol, I have like the same exact hair, except mine is slightly more curly. I tried the straightener and coloring and it completely damaged my hair. Now, I just try to tame the curliness and it works a little better. I use Paul Micthel on my hair and braid it before I go to bed and it makes it look so much better and managable. As for straigtening, my mom does that, and she uses like oil and hair mosturizures in my hair and it holds for a little longer. I live in Florida, so it still curls up, tho
i hate str8n my hair so i got a wet 2 dry str8r i take alot less time trust me!!! and your get straighter they arent that exspenive don't get a relaxer!
but my hair is short im going a japanese str8r too. but my friend she is fillapino and she has hair like yours she got it japanese str8d it cut off. but i did for i was like 30 buck for a kit at sallys.
I'm mixed and blowdrying my hair makes it easier to straiten. I wish I had hair extensions. But I can't buy then because I'm 14. And I'm chubby and I'd probly look weird.
lol this looks just like me, i find that if you put pressing oil in the sections of your hair before you blow dry it, it straightens better. =_= but i still end up using a hair straightener>>>> for back up :)
i use frizz-ease in my lil sis hair. her hair is just like yours curly & gets nappy in a heartbeat. curse of the mixed girls i guess lol j/k. i usually spray it in after she wash her hair, blow dry, then straighten it usually stays straight for a week.
my friend got that japanese straightening done to her curly bush lol the only cons about it is that it made her hair thinner&the chemical(or whatever that crap is) fried her ends abit.
oh ps: my hair is relaxed so i use pantene shining start leave in conditioner. (it's for colour treated hair, but it works pretty well) and design essentials oil for when i iron it. a friend of mine swears by moroccan oil so i may try that next.
no joke my hair looks EXACTLY like the before!! we're having storms now so i am NOT taking the time to do my hair. what was that blow dry wand? i think i might like that. great vid.
i dont get why everyone hates there curly hair so much

Why don't you get a relaxer?
Or a straight perm?
It would help keep it managable.
