Great videos, and I love your setup! It looks like you hold the autosiphon off the bottom, do you? I always try to siphon close to the top just so I don't disturb all the sediment, but that's just me. What's your process?
Awesome! I'm about to keg my beer for the first time! You make it seem so easy but first... I am going back to brewmart to buy myself an auto siphon! Cheers!
@dougcalv I have seen the same comments and I'm not sure how folks are breaking theirs. I've been using the same autosiphon for almost 3 years. I recently switched from a 3/8" autosiphon to a 1/2" inner diameter model, and the difference in how long it takes to transfer 5 gallons is amazing.
Tip: When purging the headspace (or carbonating in general), just hook the Gas to the "out" tube. The CO2 dissolves into the solution much faster, and since the CO2 is coming from the bottom, and the O2 is just pushed out the relief valve.
i love it, another homebrewer wearing pj's. happy homebrew, Cheers :)

After the beer is transferred from the carboy, how many psi do you fill the keg to?

@lopezmr22 I carbonate most of my beers at 12psi and 37F.

How do you go about using a half barrel?
RobBardgett 5 months ago
@RobBardgett It's basically the same idea, but you need all the right adapters. Good idea for another video :)

I have seen several comment on the Autosiphon being fragile and easily
scratched and broken. Your comments please.

@nostalgia75 Thanks I bought the Auto-Siphon and The Thief. Great products. Got 5/16 hose and had to
heat in boiling water to attach. But no air leaks and no beer on the floor from sucking on the hose. Putting
the Oatmeal Stout in the secondary was a breeze.
