  • you dont have to change you clutch in these cars if you upgrade the turbo ?

  • @mikhailSRT4 Not sure there, My R33 had an upgraded clutch when I bought it. But I wouldn't think that the clutch is the first thing you need to change though, probably have to do a whole lot of other mods before you were making enough power to overload a healty standard clutch.

  • nice.

  • Have you any data to show a 0-100 in 4 seconds? Considering you get 0 traction in 1st i say your pulling our leg :) (i can, because i have the same setup... hehe.) Best i have got on the road with street tires is 5.1,

What tires do you run? On a good day i can get a fair amount of power down in 1st with 255 RE001's. And with a couple of fatty mates in the back it will stick all the way throguh lol. Infact, the fastest time i did was with 3 passengers. :/ Mines running 17psi. Great choice!

  • I'm running the same setup. But getting 281rwkw (376hp) and I don't break traction. Having semi slicks really helps :)

  • tuff!

  • i run a t3 hi flow and smaller injectors and i make 370 hp for daily driving in my 33, With a whole bunch of supporting mods. So you should be making more then that

  • @r3demption91 My wastegate actuator spring tension is too light to hold closed at high boost, and the wastegate "flutters" above 1.05bar (dark blue line wiggles on dynosheet -see 0:41sec). The guy who tuned it is nicknamed "2bar", but couldnt get the boost that high. He recons this setup would have heaps more with a heavier wastegate actuator. I've just not bothered to go for the extra Hp, it's got plenty enough go as is, to put a big stupid grin on my face when I stick in the boot... :)

  • @nootherusernamesleft ahaha yeah im sure it would :) Enjoy it how it is! Because when the money starts falling out your pocket all you wanna do is cry! hahaha

  • @nootherusernamesleft btw how is the gt30 working for you ? Is it really responsive?

  • @r3demption91 Ummm, responsive? Give it the boot down low and below 2800rpm there aint much going on with the gt3076, little bit 'o' boost and a faint whistle... Then all hell breaks loose at about 3500. On a cool day, it starts to spin the hoops in second gear as it comes on boost, and keeps spinning till I hit third. Mr Plod gave me a stern talking to couple of months ago about just that ;) I dont even think about WOT in first. Im bouncing off the rev limiter the second I try.

  • Did it in stages so I didn't have to cough up the lot in one go, but I recon I dropped about 7-8 Gs on the bolt ons all up...Might sound like a lot, but it'll smoke cars worth heaps more.

  • hissin like a bitch brahh sounds sweet want mine to sound and peform like this, how much did this set up set ya back ?

  • I replaced the standard in tank fuel pump with a Walbro one thats supposed to be good for up to 500 horses. I replaced the standard injectors with 880cc Densos, I fitted a Z32 airflow meter and a power FC computer. The computer was then tuned by All Star Garage here in Malaga West Australia.

  • what did you do to your fuel system and how did you upgrade it?

  • by the way i see youve re located your AFM is that very hard at all because im wanting to do the same thing and run an alum elbow pipe off the turbo and also want to get rid of all the crap caused by the AFMs needs, where does it go to after the re locate job

  • @Blink609 AFM is on the outlet side of the intercooler in the right wheel arch, about 20cm from the throttle body. As i dont run a blowoff valve, compressed air bounces back and forth in the inlet pipe when the throttle butterfly closes under boost conditions. As a hot wire AFM cant tell between air in or out, and this placement stops the AFM telling the power fc that bulk air is flowing (Computer would assum air is going in and dump extra fuel in causing a very rich air fuel ratio).

  • @Blink609 But i havent answered your question have I? Relocating the AFM required lengthening the cable (I think, its been a few years). Had to modify the mounts to accept the rubber pipe. From memory, I think i cut off the flange that normally bolts to the air filter box with a hacksaw, then just used a rubber pipe adapter to mount it to the intercooler outlet pipe. Power fc has a setting for a Z32 AFM (off a 300zx or Nissan Fairlady).

  • power like around what you have until i send me engine away to be stroked/built, then throwing on all the rest of the gear needed and going to try and push 400+ rwkw, as i want it to be fairly streetable otherwise id be going with something more like a t04z set up but in my opinion thats a track turbo or for something with a bigger displacement engine

  • @Blink609 400 rwkw is pretty extreme man, I got about 275ish and 265s Kumho ecstas on the back, and she lights up when the boost kicks in at about 60kmh in second gear, and keeps spinning the tyres up to about 100 kmh...on dyr bitumen! Traction will be a real issue at 400 unless you've got AWD. You'll spend big dollars trying to go fast, but all you'll end up doing is shredding rubber. I just had to replace my tyres and at $820 a pair it hurts the back pocket.

  • very nice man, car sounds great..what exhaust you running on that? my build starts pretty soon got a plazmaman plenum, TB coming, new intercooler because the old ones had enough and is painted black haha, already have a fuel pump just need the FPR, and injectors, garrett 35r turbo with 6boost high mount manifold and 50mm external gate, getting a custom 3 1/.2 inch turbo back zorst done as my os giken is only a cat back and needs replacing anyway, pfc is done alone with avcr..going to run it low

  • @Blink609 Exhaust is a Xforce turbo back 3inch stainless system with a magnaflow muffler (I wanted to keep the twin outlet look like a stock pipe, just with twin 3inch outlets.)

  • @nootherusernamesleft thanks for ur help bro ur a sickcunt

  • @nootherusernamesleft bro u make it sound so simple but i can tell by just looking at it ur engines got heaps of extras, im a proud owner aswell thinking about getting that same garrett3076r turbo with injectors apexicomputer and fuel system thats about 5gs can u tell me what kinda fuel system u got

  • @simsek03 Got a walbro in tank fuel pump thats supposed to be good for up to 500hp, 800 ish (I forget exactly) cc Denso injectors, Z32 airflow meter and the apexi power FC. Do as much of the work as you can youself and you'll save heaps. I only had the dyno tuning and some custom pipework done by the workshop.

  • what the fuck get rid of those rims

  • @lkiller123 I would, but then the tyres would just flop about in the wheel arches...

  • nissan ftw

  • where did you get the bolt on for GT3576?

  • @eddie236936 Horsepower in a box.com. Its a GT3076 with special internal gate hosing to suit the RB25. Just needed a spacer to fit the standard exhaust manifold.

  • what is the fuel system u got? and also what is the fuel and ignition ratio thing u told me? and does the apexi power fc make ur car go faster, work better...? and where did u buy all ur parts?

  • @lilsk8mafia Most parts came from online stores like horsepower in a box. As for explaining how the fuel system works, try a search on the autospeed web site, You'll find heaps of great tech writeups on everything auto. I've learned lots of cool stuff from there and elswhere on the web. I also have bought every car magazine I could over the past years.

  • what is the fuel system u got? and also what is the fuel and ignition ratio thing u told me? and does the apexi power fc make ur car go faster, work better...?

  • what is the fuel system u got? and also what is the fuel and ignition ratio thing u told me?

  • Go to overboost in malaga, there the best :P

  • and can u also explain what the apexi power fc does? i.e. what is it for?

  • @lilsk8mafia - Garret is the turbo manufacturer. The power fc is a programable fuel and ignition computer (ECU) to provide the right fuel ratio and ignition timing for the modified intake system. When a car is "Dyno tuned" the ECU is what gets tuned...

  • can u explain what "GARRETT" turbo is?

  • Hey, really nice build. What size is the exhaust housing on your GT3076R ? 0.63A/R or 0.82A/R ? I have a Nissan 200sx with RB25 and similar setup. I went for the 0.63A/R exhaust housing, i just hope i don't regret that i didn't get the 0.82A/R.

  • Hey very nice man love the series 1's. if you don't mind me asking. how much did all that cost? im thinking of pulling some more power out of my R33.

  • @Uber2DaMax - My intercooler is an Ebay special (monsta performance) at $250, inlet and throttle body are Greddy and hypertune at $900 and $500, air flow meter is from a z23 $???, turbo came from "horespower in a box" at about $2200, apexi power fc from Ebay at $1200, injectors are denso(I think!) at about $800, boost controler is profec B at $400 and fuel pump is a walbro at $???. Try intercooler and boost controler for stage 1 mods, bear in mind that you will hit fuel cut on ECU for big boost.

  • very nice

  • you shift like a granny will hahahaha

  • you should really get a gt35 instead.

  • 0 to 100 dont u mean 0 to 60?

  • @deloreangtr1 0-100km/h is the same as 0-60mph

  • GT30R are perfect for the RB20//25s!!!!!!!!!

  • bout same hp as mine bro

  • Got any more videos? keen to hear that turbo without the music :)

  • Lovely 33 mate. I have a stock r33 gtst with a cat back. What would you suggest if you could start again, what would you do to get good cheap horsepower?

  • love the sound of the turbo

  • So that's a series 1 with series 2 headlights? Or is it a '95 series 1.5? Man.. it sounds awesome, but I wish you'd cut the music out when you go for a drive. ;o)

  • Its a series 1, I'll post a new vid soon with out music so you can here the turbo and dose on lift off.

  • Very nice! Im also installing the following: same car Split fire coil pack Blitz boost controller Apexi cooler Apexi Filter Apexi PFC Full exhaust Greddy blow off Nismo Injectors Z32 Gt30/40 AKA 3082r Turbo Bosch fuel pump
  • That's quite a step up in one hit. You'll likely get about 3 times as much horsepower as standard with those mods. Hope you've got good rubber on the back. (and good brakes!!!) I run Kumho Ecsta 265's on the back, and since the weather has cooled off, I find it hard to get power down at full throttle in second when on boost.

  • nice get rid of the rims though there ugly. chuck the standard wheels back on and you got yourself a nice sweet sleeper.

  • Ummm... sleeper? A sleeper is a car like a sigma with a 351under the hood. An R33 GTST is a pretty sporty car from the factory. Plus I like my rims, and standard rims can't fit enough rubber. I got 265's on these rims and I have enough trouble getting power down in 1st and 2nd as it is...

  • just my personal opinion. i got 350rwhp 13bt atm looses traction but not oo abd on standard r33 / s14 rims, but then again its a rotary so. its got no torque... na your right there would be a prob with power to the ground but i still rekon its a nice 33 sleeper

  • hey dose that turbo fit on without changing the exhaust. like a strait swap for original. or do u have to modifiy stuff?

  • The turbo I have came from Horsepower in a box, and has a special exhaust housing that fits the factory manifold and dump pipe. I did need to use a spacer between the exhaust manifold to get clearance for the compressor side of the turbo, but It was a fairly straight forward swap. The hardest part was sorting the oil and coolant lines. Ordered a "Kit" with the turbo, but It was still a bit fiddly to get right. It just took a little ingenuity...

  • what gap u got ? iv been told 0.8

  • definitely man.

also make sure u have heat range 7 plugs. i use BCPR7ES coppers. amazing products.

also to the video poster= how does your car drive now with the larger T/B? is lag/driveability better or worse?

  • I changed the intercooler, inlet manifoldand T/B, then had it tuned. Got 280 RWHP with little increase in lag. Then did the GT 3076 turbo, injectors, fuel pump and a re-tune and got the 359 RWHP you see in the video. Lag is noticeable, but it's not too bad. Gets on boost at about 3500-4000 rpm. My wastegate actuator cracks the gate at 1 Bar, so a new actuator will allow more boost and give fatter mid range power. It's fun to drive as is though, with out being too quick to break traction.

  • thats great news mate. ive got a gt3540 making 435hp at 16psi. i wanted to upgrade t/b, might do it now, as it seems to have good results for u.

  • or ok thats good i will try and see how it works thanks nice car skyline rules bro

  • cool vid bro i got a skyline r33 gtst what type of CPU you used I got A HKS CPU and it works great nice vid i will post 1 soon

  • Thanks. I run a power FC. Plugs straight in to the factory loom, so the soldering iron can take a holiday! Got a walbro pump and denso 850cc injectors feeding the fuel as well.

  • Dude i love your car, Me and my bother both own white r33 gts-t. Its funny having the same car people think our house is a jap importer lol. But yeah i had to take the turbo out of mine and replace it with non turbo parts cause of the dumb rule in australia for p platers. Though my brother has done heaps similar to what u have done. His makes 300 rwkw on 20 pounds but it cuts out alot cause he needs new spark pluggs or something i duno. Love ure turbo spewl. Cant wait til i can have turbo again!

  • probly needs bigger fuel pump spark plugs and or new coils.

  • Yeah nar, he said he needed spitfire coil packs or something. He already upgraded fuel and spark plugs i think.

  • My first "round" of mods was Exhaust,CPU,pod filter and elec boost control. After doing that I had trouble with ignition break up. Was kinda like misfire at high throttle openings. Went to a local tuner and he told me to make the plug gap smaller. That worked OK till I got the boost right up. I've changed to iridium plugs and run the standard coils. I've not had break up yet on this setup.
