Get an Agile 8 string from rondo music. I had one for a short time (UPS had smashed the volume knob in, I had to get my money back. Still playable though.) and it was awesome, felt perfect in my hands. No mud to be found with the 28.625" scale length. There are a few B stock ones in priced from $500 to $700. I would have bought another one to replace it but I needed a good amp to play live.

I have two eightstrings tuned uberlow, a Halo and an Ibanez tuned to A2-Standard/Drop-G2, thanks to my .165 low A strings. And this is not even a Djent tuning, it is sixstring drop-G3, which I label for Gore, below Death(drop-A3). Djent tuning would be way down at Drop-G2!

I recommend going down at least to A3-Standard if you cannot handle Meshuggah's F3-Standard. Just get a .70 seventh string.

For sixstrings it is fucking low, but as I said I play drop-C2, an octave below drop-C tuning, and have done drop-G2, over an octave below most deathcore, on my eightstrings.

I am not content with my string slack however. I am on 30" scale baritones, both the Ibanez and Halo, and have ENOUGH per se, but I want a .170 gauge eighthstring set. I would be able to go to F2-Standard/Drop-E2, an octave below Meshuggah's eightstrings, my sixstring.

However Octave4 sells guitar strings at like .174 and technically you could put their .242, or whatever, bass strings on, considering they're exactly the same as roundwound guitar strings. the .240 something is labeled G#00, which is like three octaves below drop-G!

Incredibly fucking low.

However, there just might be bassists tuned below that.
