I noticed that you had no hesitation heating the white glass. I have trouble with certain colors, such as white, boiling or burning. I have a National torch with a surface mix tip. Is it boiling because of the temp., amount of time in the flame, the propane/oxygen ratio or is the glass inferior?
white can be temperamental, make sure you are at a neutral flame, and work farther out in the fire, be gentle with it, if it still boils, it may be the color, surface mix can make color work eaisir, but you can do it with internal mix, just work it slow, and out in the cooler zones of the flame.-)

i know some CZ are COE33 compatible,
but i'm not interested in CZ.
so what else?
(and what do you think of baking soda? is it unsafe as some people claim?)
