  • There's something so darkly hypnotic about Tibetan monk chanting.

  • Polska tu była

  • in 1990's i was honored to meet and be with this group of monks they are sweet and genuine this chant is can move consciousness as a student of buddhist philosophy

do not worship greater being it seems a religion in thailand

when with christians other faiths say buddhism is a philosophy/ practice developing loving kindness

chanting om mane padme hum deepens this attribute other gifts of spirit

and disolves the negative all merit is dedicated to all sentient beings

  • Je ressent la vibrations de leurs chant

  • C'est beau =D

  • People, Buddhism is a religions and a philosophy in the same time. All religions are also philosophies. I have noticed something important: Those who don't know what Buddhism is all about say that it's only a philosophy, but those who studied Buddhism and are Buddhists themselves don't say that.

What I suggest you to do is to go and study Buddhism before you say anything about it.

  • Thank you for sharing this chant-video! Its awesome! I downloaded it to my library!

  • Never been a religion. Some aspects are "esoteric" and concealed to more experienced practitioners. More complex philosophies emerge. The supposed deities in the more "esoteric" philosophies of Mahayana and Vajryana (this, Tibetan Buddhism) are merely forms and actions we wish to help cultivate in ourselves through meditation and personal growth. Generating compassion and wisdom, more appropriately and honoring ourselves and others with the teachings. That's the point of Buddhism. Any school.

  • Play a game named Cursed Mountain, and know rich content about the Budism.

    Regards,

    Flyer

  • tibetan budhism is a belief..hinayana buddhism is a filosophy...

  • @DiegoCa2011 Oh, rly?! Prove it

  • world, ill see you in 7....

  • buddhism is a faith, belief and practice. deities are worshipped, but not as external, they are aspects of consciousness. Prayer to these deities is prayer to the culmination in one's own, and others' consciousness.

  • Can anyone tell who's depicting the figure displayed at the very first, where a couple is bounded in a seemingly sex pose? Thanks for helplng

  • Where can I find this recording?

  • buddhism is a belief.

  • @stevothemanlyman Definition of religion:

    re·li·gion/riˈlijən/Noun

    1. The BELIEF in and worship of a superhuman controlling power, esp. a personal God or gods.

    2. Details of BELIEF as taught or discussed.

  • @KongAnning but buddhism doesnt really revolve around the worship of deities, does it?

  • @KongAnning

Buddhism acknowledges no "superhuman controlling power", especially not "a personal God or gods". Images of deities are understood to be reflections of psychological states. The only "controlling power" is karma, the result of past actions, certainly within the realm of the human and certainly within the realm of each individual to control and master.

  • @toothpicksandglue I am so sorry but westerners don't understand the concept of Buddhism at all!

  • @stevothemanlyman It´s more a lifestyle, it doesn´t worship any superhuman god or anything (which is the case in religion)

  • @MilanoLaCity touché

  • @stevothemanlyman whos got the lyrics to this im there but i think it might have been all that acid back in the 90s

  • I forgot about this - I used to listed to this back in college - early 1990's

  • i admire buddhism

  • RE: Fachh: in the words of joanna macy: "there is no supernatural sanction in whose terms the good is defined, or whose behalf the good is done."

  • Chakrasambara or Chakrasamvara is a Tantric yidam (deity whose purpose is to be an object of meditation practice) whose name means Bliss Wheel. The wheel of bliss is a description of ultimate reality where no thing is ultimate, as opposed to Samsara, the wheel of deluded reality where some things are grasped as real and/or important.

  • so great power in this music ;D

  • Thanks for the Gyuto Monk chants. This brings me back down to earth on a good footing! Tashi delek!

  • But at the center of Buddhism, it is not really a religion.

  • @Fachh buddhism is the science of mind!

  • @Fachh It becomes a life

  • @Fachh What does that even mean?

  • @Kosomaddo Hey Kosomaddoooo. Aight man. This is what it means after my own investigation into the subject. Buddhism is a look into the nature of reality and an education and philosophy for a way of life. Buddha is not a god who judges our every action. He is simply the one who sees how nature, by causality, works itself out. Would be happy to expand if you please.

  • @Fachh Well the definition of religion you seem to be working with is a very limited, kind of straw man view of Christianity. But that aside, most Buddhists (in actual Buddhist countries, including the monks that are chanting here) pray or worship deities (that is, relatively existing, superhuman entities). The notion that Buddhism boils down to "philosophy" (however you define that) divorced from devotional practices is purely a Western construct that stems from Colonialism.

  • so... theyre fucking right?

  • Meditate...... it really helps! you dont realize how fast time goes when you do it! lol i love this! :)

  • Thank you the mind... I have been off center with myself... Thank you for the chants...

  • Can anybody tell me why they do this in overtone, as opposed to normal voice?

I mean what are the benefits of the overtone, other than sounding mystical?

  • focus on your spiritual eye depicted in the photo as the third eye, and look for a blue circle with a white star inside and a gold ring around it, and focus on it when you find it.
