For a really good Flood to Throw adjustable type flashlight check out Deal Extreme and the X2000 flashlight. There are a bunch of youtube videos with examples of this flashlight in action. I have several and they work great. The adjustable beam is really useful and that type is all I use now.
Great job as always giving detailed info about this product. Keep em coming!
the CR123's are too expensive looks like your Coleman is the best one a little confusing why you have so many flashlights unless your getting paid to review them.
my bro bought it for 10 bucks, at big lots too. totally worth it at that price. i want to get one for myself, even though, i don't think it's really 160 lumens either and there ARE dark spots on beam mode. but, i love the flood mode, totally wide viewing area without interuption.
@fredhart, How did you return the light after opening it and is this better or worse than a Maglite 2D cell? And what is a god flashlight with a really really good flood for a good price ? I like to see the area around me not just one area.
ya know Fred, I love knives, and really dig all sorts of gear, but man, a flashlight had to be my first real gear item(50 some years ago). There you are, 3 or 4 years old, out doors at night, gotta have a flashlight. Amazing how much light in so much smaller a package is available these days
PS: How come your videos don't appear in my subscriptions list? I'm still subbed, give thumbs up, I'm not banned and yet I don't d see your vids in my timeline. Why? I have to go check out your page once a week to see your vids.
Evil Google being super-evil again???? I'm starting to hate this company.

Excellent review Fred!
Whatever you do DON"T put Energizer batteries in that Duracell Flashlight. That would cause a rupture in time and space. LMAO.
Keep the great videos coming! I always enjoy them!

Maybe for the price it's not bad, but 160 lumens from two cr123's ain't a lot these days. Heck an R5 fenix ld20 puts out 180, on two aa's.

Great vid Fred. Think you could do some of those hand shadow animals for us next time? I think that Duracell light would be perfect for that.

I actually like the copper on black. It helps differentiate the light from other designs.
