  • Awesome Video!! I loved Turbografx 16 since the beginning 20 years ago, and I finally just started to get some PC Engine Games, I own all of the Power League Games (1-5 and '93) as well as Street Fighter 2 and the Famista Series! Great Systems and I wish that there would be some homebrew around!!

  • Yeah, like you I wanna get more PC Engine titles in the future. I can only think of a couple of homebrew TG-16 titles.

  • Whoo hoo happy birthday!

  • I even got a cake! Sorry about showing R Type there.

  • It's taking over!

  • Happy 20th the greatest 8/16-bit system nobody but the manly men played :D

P.S. I didn't really get into PC Engine until 2007....*walks away*

  • Don't worry, I only have a couple of PC Engine titles myself..... "lowers head"

  • Happy 20th TG-16!!

Thanks starsoldier1 for the great vids.

Waiting on a copy of R-Type for the turbo at the moment, woohoo.

  • OOOOHH YEAH BABY!

Man I feel your passion for TG16, your boner was almost on screen

  • Heh heh, it almost knocked over the table.

  • Awesome video man! I really need another TG16.

  • Oh, you had one before, eh?

  • Yeah it got given away by accident by my Mom. Along with my boxed Intellivision.

  • Wow happy birthday turbografx16

  • I feel like having cake.

  • Man dude I wish I had the collection you have.

  • I wish I had other collections too.

  • You know, I never got to play TG-16 back in the day, but I'm thankful to Nintendo for letting us experience these wonderful games on VC.

  • It was so cool to see these games return after all these years.

  • First let me say, awesome video man, it may seem strange for me but I own a turbografx 16 and I really enjoy it, can't believe it's 20 years old.

  • Thank you, the Turbo also has a good list of Sega titles too, eh?

  • I'll have to do a video for the European Turbografx I've got.

  • Yeah, I wanna see some of the changes they did for the Pal release.

  • @ScrewAttackEurope

That would awesome to see. But I am still waiting on a video about the newest Genesis from you.

  • @ScrewAttackEurope

    I'd love to see that!

  • I remember when it came out over here our Radio Shack in the mall had a HUGE display outside the store (in the mall aisle) with many systems on kiosk displays to play and people talking about it. I was just like WTF is this thing! LOL no heads up back then (Internet etc) so no one knew unless they saw it in a magazine it just came out of nowhere. But yeah limited retail sucked I don't remember seeing the systems anywhere else and even to rent games was hard to find.

  • I remember those cabinets too. It was really the only way I could try the games because like you mentioned there weren't too many places that rented them out. It was very weird going inside a Radioshack looking for Turbo games back then since I was usually the only kid sometimes.

  • What year was that for Canada?

We had loads of ads in magazines in the UK telling us to not buy "grey import" machines because they wouldn't be guaranteed and to wait for the official UK version.

  • August 29, same as the US release. Maybe the plugs were different, I don't know for sure.

  • the turbo express was ahead of its time man

  • Yeah, very kickass unit!

  • how cool dont forget my birthday

  • Sorry bout that!

  • I remember only Keith Courage... I've never see the end actually.

  • The ending wasn't too good.

  • Hard to believe that it's been 20 years since the TG-16's release in the US! Those were the days.....

  • I miss the early 90's there.

  • wish they legalize over here, yedig! nice video

  • Totally agree!

  • Great stuff man. Your nostalgic ties to the system....which is very "rare" for retro-gamers like us....I can TOTALLY relate to. You know? It was the entire reason I started playing them again.

    Ahh, the memories! :)

  • Yeah, I grew up on this games and playing them again is still a lot of fun since it's takes me back to the start of the 16-bit era.

  • the excited Gamer!

  • Maybe a little excited.

  • dude, you have a nice collection man~~ and yes happy birthday Turbografx-16

  • Thanks, it took me awhile to find all those.
