Awesome Video!! I loved Turbografx 16 since the beginning 20 years ago, and I finally just started to get some PC Engine Games, I own all of the Power League Games (1-5 and '93) as well as Street Fighter 2 and the Famista Series! Great Systems and I wish that there would be some homebrew around!!
I remember when it came out over here our Radio Shack in the mall had a HUGE display outside the store (in the mall aisle) with many systems on kiosk displays to play and people talking about it. I was just like WTF is this thing! LOL no heads up back then (Internet etc) so no one knew unless they saw it in a magazine it just came out of nowhere. But yeah limited retail sucked I don't remember seeing the systems anywhere else and even to rent games was hard to find.
I remember those cabinets too. It was really the only way I could try the games because like you mentioned there weren't too many places that rented them out. It was very weird going inside a Radioshack looking for Turbo games back then since I was usually the only kid sometimes.
We had loads of ads in magazines in the UK telling us to not buy "grey import" machines because they wouldn't be guaranteed and to wait for the official UK version.
Great stuff man. Your nostalgic ties to the system....which is very "rare" for retro-gamers like us....I can TOTALLY relate to. You know? It was the entire reason I started playing them again.

Yeah, like you I wanna get more PC Engine titles in the future. I can only think of a couple of homebrew TG-16 titles.

Yeah, I grew up on this games and playing them again is still a lot of fun since it's takes me back to the start of the 16-bit era.
