Well... I'm sure I'd love the plot if I could understand it more. :P Heh cos Kane's Wrath (as well as Tiberium Wars) is the only C&C game I've completed.

But anyway, when an expansion to a C&C game is made, the thing most people look for are the new units. If there aren't many new units, a lot of people will probably be very dissapointed.

Well let me sum of the plot of the series.

First game, a meteor hits the earth, and carries with it an alien substance. Because it landed near the Tiber river, it was called Tiberium. At this time, Nod came to view it as the key to the next step in human evolution. I have no clue where they would get that idea, because tiberium horribly mutated and/or killed whatever it came into contact with. Nod committed a bunch of a terrorist attacks, and they were defeated in a war by GDI.

Next game, set 34 years later, has Nod again make an attempt at world domination. This point alot more sci-fi stuff gets thrown in, with the Tacitus, Nod's sentient AI CABAL, and GDI's robotic walker units. Nod loses again. In the expansion some of Nod tries to reactivate CABAL and reunite Nod, but he tries to kill them and GDI, and Nod and GDI team up to stop CABAL. What neither of them knew was that Kane was behind CABAL's actions.

MARV looks pretty sweet. I can see the "Tiberium Vacuum" ability coming in handy during a siege and you have to starve the enemy of funding. My only concern is "is it epic enough?" Then again, the Scrin epic can only generate cash from destroyed enemy units and the Nod epic doesn't seem to have any cash-boosting powers. But I mean come on, for a tank the size of a con yard I better get something other then a mobile battle fortress!

Seriously, bear with me: GDI is an organisation that favours overkill & heavy firepower over pretty much everything else.

Nod may be a world power now, but it's tactics are still that of a terrorist nation.

Putting it simply, GDI's tactics are "Full Frontal" while Nod's are "Hit & Run, fast", overpowering GDI reflects this.

Mammoth didn't have the upgradable hardpoint stuff. So MARV is an Overlord ripoff, not a Mammoth one. And what Overlord is a ripoff of is Overlord's own business. By the way, MARV didn't stray too far from MMKIII/Overlord looks, which also adds to its suck. Oh and did I mention that MMKIII more resembles an Overlord than a classic Mammoth?

Mammoth is iconic unit, and MARV is not. I don't care what it is, but it has to look different. And right now it's an oversized Overlord/MMKIII, which has neither nostalgia value or originality.

And about MMKIIO - look at its tracks. The classic Mammoth didn't have those sticking out of main body like Overlord. Sure, this one looks futuristic and all, but I personally don't like it.

The chassis of the overlord & mammoth were essentially the same, nothing like the MMKIII.

They were rigid, four tracks.

MMKIII: articulated, two tracks to each articulation.

Also, the gun barrels on the overlord were mounted on the side, rather than the front, unlike true mammoths.

(Also did not have any missile pods, which both mammoths had)

I hope they powerdown that new armor upgrade for the GDI aircraft. That seems way too over powering.

Too bad we didn't get to see the main MARV tank that's armed with triple railguns. The one in the vid was for ZOCOM that's armed with triple sonic cannons (notice the spash effect).

All the same, I can't wait for this in a couple of months. Please hurry EA . . .
