  • lol chicken legs....

  • Yeah you don't have to long toss, work out, practice mechanics or increase arm speed. All you have to do is push this dumb ass sled across the floor a few times and you automatically throw 88. It's like magic.

  • Um that seems to only work his lower back, and legs... he isn't even moving his arms.

  • @themichaelnuckles and your core too. the arm can only do so much for your throw...

  • @themichaelnuckles that's the idea... pitching velocity doesn't come from the arms or shoulders. It is dependent on how much energy you can transfer from the ground up to the ball at release. You do that with core torque force.

  • i am a newborn. i throw over 5000 mph and my curveball breaks 15 feet.

  • CAN I DO IT AT 10

  • im 18 and i throw 25 mph on a good day.

  • Oh so THATS how you throw 88mph at the age of 16....Im wondering if this tecnique works at any other age

  • Niggers are scary!

  • chuck norris can hit 3 homers on 2 pitches

  • @moneybags123211 Actually, that's possible, the way you stated it. You can hit 3 home runs off of two different pitches, yes. A fastball, and a changeup.

  • ya not to mention being 6 foot 7

  • damn for freshmen baseball in highschool we did that a shit load and with better mechanics and more strength training i was throwing 70's and i was in the 60's

  • You cannot throw at 88. At that exact speed the ball goes back in time and disappears from your world.

  • @Triple88a What the hells a giga watt?!

  • seemed more like 65, than 88

  • Ok for all the people hating on this if you dident know legs is a major part in pitching so all you fucking idiots saying this is pointless your wrong!!!

  • muscle sttrength has no effect on your arm speed. you wanna work on range of motion you tuna

  • dude thats working his legs...

  • damn this dude has an arm!

  • My favorite part was the pushing of the weight.

  • @eatnosenuggets

my favorite part was the sitting of the sled

  • im 20 and throw 20 mph im so good

  • im 17 and i throw 14 mph

  • that guy just got the ride of his life while the 16 year old is bustin his ass trying to move him.

  • wow, there seems to be so many many great pitchers in the comments board- 'I'm 14 years old and I can throw 90 miles an hour' - nobody gives a shit!

  • Comment removed

  • yeah and im blind from jacking off...

  • this is more of "how to push a guy in a chair with nothing else to do...at age 16"

  • I'm 15 and even i know you are working slow twitch muscles to do that and in order to throw 88 you have to have extremely strong FAST twitch muscles

and i have hit 90 on a crow hop and 85 on the mound so dont even try to argue

  • what does this have to do with throwing 88

  • @Xxsideshow22xX Leg strength, 80% of the speed of your pitches are in your legs/mechanics.

  • @BABYKICKERxPS3 thats why they want you to push off

  • this makes no sense theres no way to be able to throw a pitch at any speed its what type of body you have and what its capabilities are

  • all you kids here are retards rofl, im 16 and i only reach 77 lol, impossible for a 13 year old to reach even 80 and let alone 70, when i was 13 i was lucky to reach 60 haha

  • @RaptoRsAreTecMo Actually when I was 12 there was a kid on my team who was 13 and could throw his fastball around 75.

  • @ZDizzley thats good i'm 15 and my fastball is 60 mph good thing i'm a catcher but my pop up is still at 2.3 sec need to get 2 sec flat

  • @Freepepsi42 It all comes with practice! When I was 15, I threw around 60-65... I can throw around 90-95 now that I'm 17. One of the best things to do is just practice long throws!

  • @ZDizzley nice but i love it how my comment got removed i did'nt even say anything bad

  • @Freepepsi42 yea im 15 now but when i was 14 my fastest pop was a 1.9 but then a couple weeks later I injured my rotator :(

  • @acdefg1234567 dude that suxs 3 seasons ago i ripped the muscle right off my arm i've been out ever since hopefully with the practise i put in i can play this season

  • @RaptoRsAreTecMo Just cause you couldnt throw that fast at that age doesnt make it physically impossible you moron. Get over yourself. (BTW last year, when i was 16, i threw 83 mph so just stfu)

  • @kenmarz1 yea dude i totally agree...im 13 but im an alien so i hit the ball around 700 feet...but thats left handed...when i hit it right handed i usually can hit in the mid to high 900's....and when this kid is around 12 he should be hitting around 400-600 if he keeps this up...and dude u gottta step it up a kid ur age should be hittin in the mid 400s..and dude i dont even have legs. HAHAHA everyone on youtube lies..Kid On Youtubes Avereage Homerun for 13 year old=350....Average Kid=250

  • @StudioYMJ your really sucks at baseball.

  • A lot of you people think that throwing a ball hard just means pitching mechanics. But its the working out off the mound that counts.

  • should have the stongest legs on the team..strong legs and BAD mechanics do not equal 88.

  • hes building strength but you have to keep your arms locked and move your feet as fast as possible...im only 12 and i do this

  • he is doing leg workout it helps some i just like doing powersquads and use my own weight. alot of leg weights and small arm weight workout= good pitcher arm muscle needs to be flexible and not tight due to weights.

  • Im 13 and i throw 95 look me up. Jan tellord

  • @kenmarz1 You do not exist on the internet. If you threw 95, you would be.....who knows nobody has ever done that at 13.

  • @kenmarz1 hahahaha thats fuckin funnnyyyyyyy. im on a team thats 14u and were ranked 11th in the country... ive never heard of u!!!! ur such a fuckin lyer... i would of heard of u if u throwing 95.....

  • @kenmarz1 gratz dude...but im 5 and throw 120 mph... heh, nice try

  • u dont know what hes doing? wow learn baseball... im 14 and i know... he is working out his legs by pushing a cart with weight on it... you need to have strong legs in order to pitch fast

  • well this could be meaningful, the pushing contracts your rotator cuff which will help pitch but iunno bout anything else lol

  • @builtstrong2lastlong legs......

  • @bholland114 yeah but those are calfs bro, it would be the quads and inner quad near the groin

  • wow wtf were not trying to play football

  • Congrads...you have no calf muscles!

  • Im 13 and I throw mid 60s

  • i´m agree with gavin hahahah

  • velocity is meaningless if there isnt good mechanics location and movement to each pitch, as a hitter i would be more successful against an 88 mph flat fastball than a 82 mph fastball that has a little sink to hit, no matter how hard you throw, it can be hit, until you throw 108 lol

  • Im 14 and ican throw a 72 accurate

  • Damn.. and I don't even play baseball

  • im 16 i throw 85 once i reached 90

  • im 13 and can hit 60 on a good day which is not that fast for middle school i look like cc sabathia haha

  • @cd123ism ha im with ya dude im only 12 and throw prabably in mid 50s not that fast

  • @cd123ism Lol im also 13 i can barley hit 60 my usual fastball is like 48 mph cuz im skinniest in my school no joke 68 pounds lolol its fail i know.

  • @commando189 no its not i bet ur fast u probably can field to

  • @cd123ism ? i can field good i run more toward slow and i throw slow i only weigh 68 pounds where did you get no its not?

  • @commando189 i was just saying maybe u werent meant to pitch if u can only throw 48 u can prob be a 2nd baseman

  • @cd123ism Yeah i play 2nd now pitcher and 2nd i have a nasty sinker that no one can hit idk why to me its not that good but no one can hit it because i throw it high then have it drop to the ground.

  • @commando189 i have a nasty change it drops like a curve ball and goes 48

  • @cd123ism how fast do you pitch

  • wouldnt tht type of exercise hurt more then help him?

  • i love how kids come on here actin all hard sayin how young they are and how fast they throw. im 16 sophmore playin varsity and i only throw high 70s

  • @nationals202 Agreed, i meen im 15 lefty and i throw high 70s maybe i could hit 80 but not accurate and not for 5 or more innings

  • your all so immature

  • these kids are so fake lol, im 17 and im just poppin 80

  • fake?

  • my friend is 17 he hits 90 so its not fake and ccorey literell is hitting 92. he plays on my schools rival team and this kid in lexington hits 94 and they are all 17 so

  • well, most college prospects are mid high 80's good ones are 90..if ur over 92 ur getting drafted outta high school, im 15 and last year i got clocked 83, ranging 78-82 most pitches,, ive gained alot of strength hoping to increase my speed to high 80's my next year for jr year. not impossible, but yea most people that post look at their profile, they are like 28 and have starwars videos favorited. lol =) pitch on!

  • Comment removed

  • i doubt ur throwing 77-79 at 14

  • LOLZ 14 year old throwing 95. That would never happen.

    I'm 14 years old 145-150 pounds and i throw 77-79.

  • my friend is 15 and he can throw 85

  • who are these fucking kids talking about throwing 95 at 14 retards is who they are

  • a 14 year old throwing 94 if impossible as an 8th grader. hella gay most of them barely hit 65. so hit low 70s. ima sophmore 6'1 205 pounds a throws 83-85.Lincecum barely threw 90 in college. 14 years cannot throw 90's even 80 or 70's even on roids you can't. hella stupid an in 8th grade they wouldn't give a damn bout you. to young an havn't even hit high school level. wat a fag

  • you're fat and wrong

  • huummn im fat huh. bitch please ur probably the one sitting on ur ass each chips bitch. only cually fat people come up on youtube an call other people fat.even if u do play you sit left bench.

  • your hella stupid for writing the way you just did, you say your a sophomore but your typing like a 4th grader, please spell check what you type because your just coming off retarded !!!!

  • ur fucken stupid im 114 and i throw 75-80

  • ok yea im stupid when the hell did weight get in this conversation. Your a dumbass

  • wow thats old

  • IM BLACK AND I STEAL !!!

  • then why the hell does it say on your video that you are a junior throwing 85

  • I hope you didn't take me seriously... I'm a 5'10'' 155 lb junior who MAXES out at 85. I guess I thought it was obvious that I wasn't a 5'4'' 9th grader throwing mid-90s

  • I'm 103 years old and I can throw at 1,042,324,466,865,524,234,252,132,433,452,523, 123,094,633,635,751,126,634,522.532414614141412 miles per second.

  • I'm not impressed, you've had a lot more training time than other people.

  • When I was first born. I threw at 1,234,426, MPH per hours. I threw faster each day.

  • @Ballplayer300th oh my goodness!

  • @Ballplayer300th How many times have you been born?

  • @Ballplayer300th r u that stupid that u put MPH and then said per hours? dumb ass

  • @Ballplayer300th pretty decent, i would say

  • I'm George Washington and I through out the Articles of Confederation.

  • lmfao nice

  • i can throw faster than the speed of light

  • So by the time it gets to the other person, it has traveled back in time and the game is won before it began.

    Very clever.

  • i turned 14 8 days ago and baseball season for me ended in june and the radar gun my coach has said i threw 71mph.

  • Im 13 in 2 months and I hit 74 on the gun.

  • congradulations.

  • yeah what the hell is this kid doing, i just work out regularly and i throw high 80's, 17, and im 5'8''

  • @CanadanChamp

    hes working out... very simple...

  • im 16 and have no fukin idea what the hell this dude is doing

  • @gavin802 its called legs you idiot, using your legs is one of the most important parts of pitching.

  • @gavin802 he's working out his legs dumb ass .

  • @gavin802 its an exercise called the prowler which focuses on quads and glutes but i have no idea how it helps throwing a ball :p

  • @gavin802 thats probably why you dont throw 88

  • @gavin802 hes doing a leg exercise so he can get stronger legs thus giving him a better leg drive when he pitches

  • im horny and i can throw 95 mph.....knuckleball:D

  • im 4 and can throw about 500 thousand miles per hour

  • im a sperm and can throw at 250mph

  • im 15 i throw atleast 60-70 idk

  • I'm 3 years old and I throw 127mph.

  • oh yeah im 1 and throw 159

    pwned

  • DAMNIT!

  • I did know a fetus that threw the speed of light once, but he used steroids, so you are the best. lol

  • totally..

  • Im 7'8 and can throw 250 mph per second

  • good try dumb ass but that is a load of shit

  • that makes no sense because mph is miles per hour. "mph per second" dumbass

  • bull shit

  • to be honest with you long toss doesnt do shit. and ranquer ur a fucking idiot you probobly did not even make JV ur just another kid on here that lies

  • are you on crack? long toss is the best for arm strengthening

  • saying long toss doesnt do shit is an amazingly ignorant statement. of course, you have to do the correct long toss, with different phases, and stretch your distance to the max to see improvement, but ive seen pitchers gain up to 5-6 mph just by learning how to fully exert their energy from their body into their throwing motion.

  • i totally agree, finally some1 on youtube knows what their talking about

  • all that stuff works. i think throwing long toss for about 45 min about five days per week would work even better

  • ok if you throw 95 at 15 then Roger Clemons

  • 15 and am 6.5ft tall and weigh 245 pounds and throw my fast ball at 95-98 mph.

  • hahaha FUNNY 15 and u can huck 95 that means ur on a highschool team 10th grader who probly has about 100 scholarshiips and ur bigger then 50%+ of mlb players ? doubtful

  • jeeze. some mlb pitchers cant even do that. wow

  • lol your so full of shit

  • bull shit, lets get a name so we can look for u in the mlb

  • Not physically possible

  • ok im 15 and i can throw 85 consistantly and all i do is work on my mechanics and strength nothing special and nothing extra

  • no I don't get paid except in the tourny at the end of the season where the team splits the pool for each round they win and the team that wins a local bracket goes to Vegas to play. It's the NABA, National Amateur Baseball Association

  • lol i dont throw that fast but i just turned thirteen and can throw 74. i know you wont believe me but im 5'9'' 139lbs so i think that helps. i know some one on beaver valley whos fourteen and throw 85

  • i believe you i see kids in my league that are 5'5 and throw probably 65

  • im 5'5 and i can hit 70 mph consistently

  • wow everyone in here is going to be in the major leagues since so many teens throwin 85-90. I'm 20 and throw 81 in a semi pro league I should just quit now with these up and coming superstars

  • do u get paid in that league? whats the name of it?

  • steroids

  • LISTEN UP YOU PUSSY ASS FAGGGGGGGGGGOOOOOOOOOTTTTTTTTTTTTT.................................ok i throw 96 mph..YES YOU HERD! 96 MPH!!!!!!!!!!! unbelievable? maybe....amazing? definetly.....and yes i may be the best pitcher ever...if you want my tips let me know but i will say...............i dont do ANY OF THIS BULLSHIT....JUST DRINK NAGAHAMAVIRGILS MICROBREW....................google it..its amazing..........and perfectly legal

    copyright: virgilmegabrew

  • shut up. omg no one gives a shit

  • yeah sure you do and i pitch at 120

  • know what im 15 years old i havnt been doing anything but getting drunk, smoking typical teen shit and i am throwing a 86MPH fastball im starting to work out and next season im gonna be 94 so FUCK YOU

  • you dick head... theres no fucking way you American litle shit can trow 86mph at 15... im 17, and trow 88..

  • u cant throw 88 at 17 how much u weigh?

  • im 175 pounds... and im 6.1ft tall.. but thats not the issue, here in dominican republic we train hard.. thats why many guys trow hard here

  • so what do u mean by train hard? like weigh lift a lot or throw a lot or do arm bands a lot?

  • the power from pitching comes from your ass and your thighs. look at brad lidge, not a huge guy but his ass is huge, and no im not gay ive had a girlfriends for 2 years. but if you want to increase ur velocity i suggest you start running everyday..doing these little exercises with your pop isnt going to cut it.

  • Leg Strength is the key. people try to buff up their arms, which is nice, but the real power comes from a combination of power from your mid section and your LEGS!!

  • Nice ass

  • As a D-1 pitcher, there is a relationship between strength and velocity. If you have a stronger leg push then you will throw harder. It is easier to gain velocity with a good leg drive then with just arms. But with that said, most velocity is God given talent. But there is no reason that if you work hard, gain strength and work on fundamentals you can't pick up velo...

  • well said

  • im a high school pitcher and our teams coach pitched in minor leagues for the indians and he told us that the key to being succesfull is being able to change speeds well because a lot of ppl can catch up to 90 mph fastballs but keeping hitters off balance is what makes someone a good pitcher.

  • ya i dont throw hard but i owe all my success to a masterful changeup and great fastball location

  • What I have a problem with is someone insinuating that there's a direct correlation between leg strength and max velocity. There is none and no one can prove that there is. There are countless examples of skinny, weak guys throwing fast and muscular guys throwing slow

  • Exacly. There was a guy in my league pitched 84 tops at like age 14-15. But then again he was black an 6"3. But quite skinny.

  • @itachi: the longer your arm is, the more force (which translates into speed) you can apply on the ball with the same muscular strength.

This is the same thing as trying to one-finger push a door open near the hinges vs near the knob: if you use the same force, you'll be able to open the door much wider near the knob. Thus, a pitcher with longer arms will be physically able to throw faster even if he's less muscular, ceteris paribus.

  • thats not exactly what hes saying, basically its just that the added leg strength can give you more push and more forward momentum towards the plate. i had to learn to focus on my push off after i broke my elbow and had to relearn how to pitch without putting added stress on my elbow. hes just saying that the leg strength can add velocity

  • i broke my elbow pitching and cant pitch again unless i get surgery... you're lucky man

  • and thats what ive heard. just got lucky, and im sorry to hear that.

  • OMG same here, but I was out for about 3 weeks, but I might doing something wong or something cause my shoulder is hurting alot quicker now.

  • i've been hearing stories of that now too. it suck. you might be dropping your elbow which causes presure on the shoulder but i dont know in your case. hope it gets better.
