Nice run on a near stock ZX2! I use to have one (atx sadly) and it was slow. But I've seen many mtx ZX2's run low 16's high 15's, so I believe that this one did too. I'm not a Ford guy, but I do miss my old ZX2, even though it only ran a 17.8@who cares, lol. ZX2's are seriously the best looking compact car that Ford has ever made.
@NWpowerhouse85 mabey an stock auto matic zx2 wont run that but my 5speed 98 zx2 is stock except for an open k&n air filter that i rigged myself and it ran 16.2 at 87mph. clutchless shifting may have helped me drop about 1?10th a second and mabey another +1mph at trap speed.

Its people like this that drive hondas to why i dont like hondas in the 1st place.....except for prelude, nsx, and s2000. those cars r awsome. and if your not a honda driver you talk down to other racers like me as if you were a honda driver. so please do all of us a favor and quit hating. thankyou.
@98zx2owner My first car was a Focus with that same 2.0/130 horse motor. I was running 18.1-18.2, and Muscle Mustangs/Fast Fords was running the same times. Yet a ZX2 that weighs about the same is running 2 seconds less? Please..
And no, I'm not a Honda driver, in case you haven't already figured that out. I'm a Ford guy. My current car is a 98' GT, which was running 14.9-15.0 with the 2.73's in stock form, and I could flatten any Focus or ZX2, including the SVT, let alone a regular.
@NWpowerhouse85 ok, sorry for calling you a honda driver then. normally those responces come from honda drivers. and i'm also a ford lover as you may already know. let me set the record stright though aboout the zx2 vs zx3-5's. the zx2 weighs 2395lbs with 130hp and 127ft-lbs while the zx3-zx5 focus's have 130hp and 135ft-lbs but weigh in at 2550lbs.
@NWpowerhouse85 the zx3 has a little different engine set up for the extra ft-lbs. i believe they have different cams, camshaft, and headers just to name a couple things. also, the time for zx3-zx5 focus auto has been proven to be about .7 seconds slower to the 1/4 mile than a 5speed. and the zx2 auto is slower by at lease one full second to 1.2 seconds than the 5speed. so yes it's possible for the posted times that i have done in my zx2 that's a 5speed in stock form. thankyou!
The mustang looks like an 03-04 cobra.. So its not a turbo. Supercharger.

This car only had a CAI at the time. With a bunch of bolt on mods i got it down 15.2 at 96

Dude, zx2s don't turn anywhere NEAR 15.7 OR 90mph with a cai and catback, stockers are 18 second cars.
